Yup, I got it last week and claimed the time.

I was bored out of my mind in Kul Tiras… it was more fun farming up Copper Ore in Elwynn Forest to sell in the AH than playing the new zones. :expressionless:

You made me go check. Not “everybody” did. My sub expired on the 4th of July. No free trial period for me on BFA 8.2, of course, my being subbed during BFA 8.2’s release probably has something to do with that.

Eh this isn’t new, been happening for years. Im not going back. I don’t feel betrayed nor I need to be convinced to go back, its just not in a spot I enjoy anymore so I moved to something else.

There is no doubt in my mind that blizzard cancelled the stress test because most unsubscribed players were going to use the free 3 days for the classic stress test. I don’t see myself using the free time now.

The people who lock exp only get put in BGs with other people who have exp locked, making twinks have to fight nothing but other twinks, which killed twinks for two reason.

1: The que times. There’s 12 brackets from 19-119, spreading the twink groups thin, so you will be waiting hours, and in some brackets, literally forever, before a BG will que up. Twinking already was niche, now it’s just non existent.

2: Twinks don’t make Twinks to fight other Twinks. The whole point of twinking is to roflstomp 90% of the other players in the BG due to being way better geared and having the best enchantment available while everyone else doesn’t have a single enchantment since they are just leveling. Now that Twinks are segregated into their own BGs, it ruins the whole reason people made Twinks in the first place.

Well as one playing on lvl 70 and 60 for years I have to disagree with that.
Example: At the end of Cataclysm twinks were already separated for a time. But lvl 70 xp-lock bgs had even faster invites than max. level bgs.

And the gameplay in that bracket was absolutely entertaining. Nearly every player could be killed within 4-5 attacks (just remember at that time the enchants for twinks were already limited by level/itemlevel). And those attacks often were done in just 2-3 seconds.
It was an extremely fast gameplay and required a lot of attention and reaction skills.

That was the best PvP time I ever had (except of retail rated BGs in S9 with 15-player arathi basin etc.)

I got one, and since I didn’t buy BfA, I leveled my gnome monk…until I ran into a bugged boss in Auchenai Crypts. A nearly impossible to heal boss, and a very slow group…tank kept body-pulling as if ranged weapons didn’t exist, and when we wiped the 4th/5th time they vote kicked me.

Really infuriating to have dim-witted teammates place the blame on me; 99% of leveling content is stupidly easy, yet this fight was just absurd.

But I digress.

WoW is an incomplete game through and through right now and is not worth taking part in whatsoever.

My brother got time, and he had a level capped BfA character. Guess what I found out? 5man heroics (the easy ones) gave gear 25~ ilvl above what he got from mythic+ previously.

For all the things I have to say about WoW, that in itself is proof that the decision-makers have no clue what they’re doing. It baffles me that anyone would even consider buffing heroic gear to that level. I sincerely hope I’m missing some crucial information; I’d rather be wrong than right about this.

I really don’t envy Blizzard’s position of trying to appease so many people with such different personalities.

They gave me a week free then when that ended i was sent that 3 day gift lol.
Didnt use any of that on crap retail.
I havent had active sub since beginning of legion, before that since vanilla.

I’m to busy playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker Enhanced Edition to worry about the Free Time they gave me. I don’t play BFA.
I’ll try to use it during the next Stress Test…Big Maybe!

I got it too.

I’m actually going to spend the weekend testing 8.2 out.

At the end of the day I’m a World of Warcraft fan boy. I come back for every expansion, every patch, every addition for one reason only. I love the World of Warcraft, and I’m constantly hoping to fall back in love with WoW.

Unfortunately for Blizzard they have yet to recapture my love for WoW with the last expansion. I finally conceded and tested out a private server a month ago, got to level 30 and for the first time in years, all i wanted to do was get home from work and play WoW. It 100% recaptured my love for WoW.

So i’m going to attempt to love 8.2 WoW. But as of right meow, 1.12 has my heart in perpetuity.

Yea I am a fanboy too and hope they can win me back with each expansion but I don’t come back for patches. I test the expansion for a few weeks and see if it is playable, find out it isn’t then leave till the next expansion.

Played Legion at launch but Templates and no PvP vendors as well as stat bloat was a big no thanks left for a year.

Excited about BFA beta tested it realized it was incomplete but hoped they could fix it after launch was wrong. No idea why I get hopeful anymore. Was excited they removed templates but they replaced it with Scaling which is just as bad. Warmode killed WPvP. Then still no vendors, bad RNG gearing and completely bugged Azerite gear with scaling. Then most importantly incomplete an bad character design. Again left right away been unsubbed since last year.

So my hope lies in what I know is good. Classic WoW which is the future of World of Warcraft. Just hope they stop with the expansions, take a step back and realize how good their games used to be.

They cancelled the stresstest because of everyone being gifted the three days free time, which they could’ve used for the stresstest.

So in other words, they don’t make $15/month from hundreds of thousands of people who’d sub just for the stress test, so they cancelled it and will likely do it just after the three free days expires, which is July 28.

Pretty shady business practice if you ask me.

I remember getting a Free day or 2 when Thunder King patch was released, nothing new. This is their annual pass to try out new content when its released.
