Real good. Amp curse them, play fel lord, obelisk and the new talent that lowers cd of port or soul rip. It’s -25% damage from the warrior if they don’t retrieve the soul, pretty neat.
They had a few more questions for you further up.
They can purge it but it’s always up so most don’t spend their time spam purging it.
If you play reign of tyranny you see a number on the tyrant icon. That number indicates how many stacks your tyrant. I don’t really use an add on for it because I’m pvp you just focus on summoning demons and sending tyrant. There is no real number to shoot for because you may not hit that number in a pvp situation.
You can look up maldiva on YouTube he has a pvp guide on each spec. But basically reign of tyranny and immutable hatred are the best combo. The pit lord talent can be good for single target burst but it also has a long cd.
i just started to level my disc today o man they did remove it at first it was clunky and i hated it esp in beta but now that they fixed a few things im really starting to like my priest again . RN my main is my dracthyr buttttttttttt i might change back to my priest it feels so smooth . im not super starving for mana anymore which is great .
its about as bad as SL i ran my dracthyr thru most of the story enough to where its not as boring . Skipped the too much pve dungeon quests , focused on the world zone quests .
Time walking makes leveling a piece of cake tho !!! I say always try to level by spamming timewalking dungeons !!! Forget the whole DF zone bs !!! Ive so far have leveled almost 3 alts purely by spamming timewalking dungeons only !!! I say take advantage of the big xp it gives now before blizz decides to nerf it . It gives twice the amount of xp a norm df dungeon would give its amazing and super quick !!!
Leveling flew by with time walking. I was getting 90k xp per run on later levels (66-69) it’s a great way to level. I had a handful of 60s that I hadn’t touched since SL. I was able to get them all to 70 with time walking.
It won’t show me how much XP I’m getting now that I’m 60, generally speaking, how many timewalking dungeons should I do to get within the ballpark of hitting 70 when the xp is added on? Like 5 per level? 10?
It changes as you get higher.
In the lower 60s, it’s like 1 or 2 timewalking dungeons.
In the upper 60s, it’s like 2 timewalking dungeons.
For level 69, it’s like 3 timewalking dungeons.
So, I’d estimate ~15ish.
Keep in mind, I think you can also get the 10% exp buff from the Darkmoon Faire this week, so that would decrease the number of dungeons you need to do to hit level 70.
When I was at lvl 60 it gave me 81k xp for time walking vs a normal df dungeon that gives 50k xp . By the time I hitn69 it was giving me 92k xp for time walking and 60k for normal dungeon.
I leveled this toon for like few hrs last night n I’m 70 now.
Uh oh…
Time to avoid AV on Horde toons.
lol
Why copy a toon? Just look at the talents, pick what you like.
It’s a poorly designed game and sad playerbase that’s only interested in min maxing.
Because they know more than me about their class/spec.
I like all of them. Not enough points.
I hear you here.
I can not communicate how much I have the attention span of a goldfish lol. I read the talents and spell abilities and then immediately forget what I was looking at. Or like, it’s like I can’t piece together everything in my mind the way the developers do, so I miss the forest for the trees.
Plus like, I know I don’t know what I’m doing, so I figure the best course of action is to copy someone else, since the corpse run in Stormwind is 6+ minutes.
i) Oh no. I unbound all of my keybinds last night so that I could redo them. Hopefuly I find a system that works for me this time.
j) Uhm. Timewalking is over? What’s the best way to go from 61-70 now, spamming Dragonflight dungeons, BGs, uhm, please don’t tell me questing because I don’t want to quest, I don’t even think I can unlock my dragon on my alts I hate quests so much.
Thank you everyone for your help! <3
I don’t really either. Sorry if it sounded rude. I just look at the talents and try to pick what sounds best for how I play. I still prefer how talents used to be before these new trees because it was so much more straightforward and fun/easy.
There are some pretty cool guides on both WoWhead and Icyveins. On some of them, they go over the talent tree in detail, basically telling you which talents are mandatory for PvP and which ones are flexible. Take the mandatory talents and build the rest around a playstyle that is comfortable for you.
You’re fine <3 don’t worry!
Oh awesome, thank you so much!
I wish the glyph system was more used. Some spells do AOE damage and I wish I could make them only do single-target damage D:
Honestly, I kind of wish that there were a PvP talent tree instead of just the three options. It would increase the complexity but at the same time, it would be kind of nice to have more control over how I wanted to play, like, wPvP solo, node BGs, CTF bgs, arenas, solo queue, 40 person BGs, large wPvP battles, they all ask for slightly different things.
Oh what could have been.
So currently you can do this. It’s good to load up the scoreboard in both BGs and Arenas to see what you are up against and change your PvP talents based on the comp.
For instance, if you do not have any kind of Mortal Strike effect(reduces healing on your target by X%) on your team then you should take Psyfiend (which reduces the healing received on the target by 50%). I typically don’t take this talent if i’m paired with a warrior or DH, since they can do it.
Void Volley I pick up if there are a lot of melee on the enemy team, as it can act as an extra fear. It launches missiles in areas around me that deal damage and fear the enemies in the area.
Phase shift, this one can be tricky and requires a lot of awareness. I like to pick this up if I see a lot of warlocks or hunters on the enemy team. If one of their big spells, Aimed shot, Sniper Shot, Rapid Fire, or Chaos Bolt is on it’s way, I pop fade to negate the damage.
You should be changing your PvP talents based on what is available in on your team, what you are facing on the enemy team, and what terrain you are working with in the BG.
Recently, we had Rets everywhere. One of my favorite things to do was to use the PvP talent Thoughtsteal, which steals their ability “Hand of Freedom” preventing them from using it for 20 seconds. You can also use it on a mage to steal Polymorph, which is invaluable if you face a mage during Arenas.
I love thoughtsteal so much. It’s not as good as Shadowy Guise / Saving Grace / MOP Archangel, and disc silence, but it really is in my top ten all-time priest spells.
Today I have one mission in life: to set up actual keybinds instead of just lol ones I was using for leveling. Sadly these don’t even include stuff like singe-magic party123, fear arena123focus, grimore felguard focus.

I think I might just take like, an hour to make arena1/target arena2/focus arena3/mouseover macros and hope that my muscle memory doesn’t mess me up lol.
#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][harm,nodead][@target]
#showtooltip
/use [@arena1,harm][@target,harm]
#showtooltip Shadow Word: Pain
/use [@arena3,harm][@focus,harm]
Axe Toss as my main interrupt feels horrible, and I dislike how Command Demon works. I realize it’s better than the alternative, having to bind singe-magic, spell lock, seduce, axe toss, and Bulwark.
I kind of wish that warlock could get reworked to be a little bit like summoner from ffxiv so that all the demons could get a bit more use.
Seven days left on my free trial and I’m still level 61 lololol. Blizzard really needs to give people a month free.
edit: should demonbolt be on a /stopcasting macro or something so that I don’t accidentally cast it while spamming it instantly? Or are there instances where I want to cast it, like, if I open with fear and want to hard cast it? It’s got all of the inconvenient cast time of a pyroblast but none of the added damage lol.
