Blizz forgot tinker class, oops

I know blizzard was quite busy last week. Must have forgot to announce the tinker class for next x pack. It will come any day now I bet!

There’s a chance for Last Titan if Mimiron is involved. :8ball::robot:

Feels like a fever dream that Tinker (or some otherwise named tech class) isn’t already in the game… it’s just SOOO Warcraft.

They didn’t forget. They are ignoring the request to implement a boring class that I suspect very few (in the grand scheme) will actually play.

No, there just isn’t a new class next expansion. We don’t get new classes every expansion. Never have.

Sure, of course, just confused as to what else they’ve got going on. TWW seems pretty light on major features, considering narrative, 20 anniversary hype and very recent inclusion of support spec(s), another new class wouldn’t of been shocking, I’d even argue expected. But here we are.

To be forgotten, Tinkers would have to be on the table to begin with. Best of luck next time!

How about go play a game that has the tinker class. I mean WOW can’t even handle the classes already available. What is even a tinker classes abilities going to be in wow except spells taken away from existing classes.

the who and the what now?

we have rumble at home.

How is it light on features comparatively? Looking at expansion long (not patch specific) new features, we’ve got…

War Within: new BGs, Delves, new race, opening up dynamic flying to our other mounts, new hero talents

Dragonflight: new race, new class, dragonriding, new talent system

Shadowlands: Torghast (I’m blanking on any new design features after that)

BfA: Azerite stuff, Allied Races

Legion: Artifact stuff, Allied Races, new class, M+

Warlords: Garrisons, legendary questline, (I think there was new PvP stuff?)

Mists: new race, new class, scenarios, legendary questline, new BGs

Cata: two new races, guild perks, Archaeology, revamped world with flying everywhere

Wrath: new class, (I’m blanking on more)

BC: two new races, classes expanded to new races, Heroic dungeons added, flying, new PvP stuff

I think I’ve got all of that right. I may be missing some things as my brain isn’t what it used to be. But it seems pretty comparative, tbh.

In my opinion, GW2 has the closest thing to Tinkers with their engineer class but GW2 plays like $#!& and has no compelling endgame.

They also forgot to kill a horde leader… opps

New BGs are fairly big, to be fair. Delves are scenarios/torghast/islands/zaralek minings etc., New race is small beans fluff, dynamic flight has been introduced in dragonflight and is simply being further iterated upon.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m certainly looking forward to all TWW has to offer. Fact is, it’s a fairly light feature xpac compared to a truly new major feature (heck maybe Delves are more dynamic/new we shall see)/revamp of profs (new prof(s))/new class or specs.

I suspect Tinkerer won’t be a class but rather a spec of a larger Artificer class. Since it’s just about the only DnD class concept and popular class WoW has not used yet.

Artificers are essentially engineers and mages combined. The best example is… well Artificers in Draenei society.

Which there will be more new ones in War Within.

And? Still an evergreen new feature.

Your opinion isn’t fact.

I literally said that.

No, your opinion is. And it’s factually incorrect.

combat medic tinker pls

Coming at me hard for having my own opinion ha.

I’ve never professed that my opinion is fact, only that TWW could have more features, especially considering how much larger the dev team is these days, which is patently true, there COULD be more features.

Work on that reading comprehension. You’re acting as though expanding dynamic flying to other mounts is big feature worthy, I’m simply pointing out that it’s more of a nature progress of a dragonflight feature and thus not headline feature worthy.

I have no issues with your opinion. You are absolutely allowed to like or dislike certain things about the game and upcoming expansion.

My point was this: I gave you a list of expansion features to show that it’s not light on features. I hate some of those features myself. But it doesn’t stop them from existing. They still count.

The expansion isn’t light on features. It’s just not stuff you like. There’s a difference.

Then we’ll agree to disagree.

TWW could have a lot of epic narrative. I hope we get to explore undermine, see how that sword has effected Azeroth, what’s Azerite like below the surface?!?

Worried it’s going to be more like classic fantasy ‘underdark’ and less Warcraft but we’ll see!

That would be cool. I hope they don’t drop the ball on the storyline either.

Right there with ya! :dracthyr_heart:
