Blizz forgot tinker class, oops

They didn’t forget to announce it, because they have no plans for it, because tinkers don’t provide anything that either faction is lacking and don’t have enough personality to be the focus on an expansion’s storyline like DKs, monks, DHs, and evokers all were. The tinker crowd deluding themselves into believing that the class will totally come this time and their subsequent wangsting when it doesn’t is getting increasingly pathetic.

“Tinkers should’ve been added as part of the war efforts in Kul Tiras and Zandalar” - :x:
“We’ll need tinkers to open the way to the Shadowlands” - :x:
“Tinkers will be added in a Void expansion because they’re somehow resistant to the Void” - :x:
“We know nothing about what’s coming in 10.0, but tinkers will totally come this time” - :x:
“We’re getting a three-part storyline about the Titans, they just have to give us tinkers now” - :x:
“We need tinkers to remove Sargeras’ sword from Azeroth” - :x:

It’s like after DHs were announced for Legion, tinker supporters saw one heavily requested class become a reality and rushed to become the next, with no regard to how theirs can be woven into an expansion’s storyline. Now they’re locked in a cycle of believing that tinkers will be added in the next expansion → being disappointed when they aren’t → repeat for infinity.

If any class gets added after TWW, it will likely be riftblade during Midnight because that’s looking to be a Void-centric expansion and people have begged for paladins with Void powers since the demand for void elf paladins got high.

You’re suggesting that they’re not needed due to x/y not happening/including the use of Tinkers.

I’d argue that simply shows how versatile Tinkers are, they could be involved in any storyline.

Its a joke mate. Idk how so many missed that

That would require giving the players something they asked for and that doesnt happen here

They’re not needed because both factions already have engineers who can build everything from war machines to spaceships capable of FTL travel. The last four classes all gave them something they didn’t have before: masters of death magic, masters of martial and mystical arts, specialists in hunting down and destroying demons, and foot soldiers trained in multiple forms of draconic magic.

The last four classes also weren’t shoehorned into their respective expansions with no fanfare, and they were added during expansions where their additions made sense. DKs were added in an expansion focused on battling the Lich King and tying up the story of WCIII because it would’ve made no sense to add them in TBC, where we fought demons, or Cataclysm, where we fought black dragons and elementals and the Lich King was already dead. The equivalent for tinkers would be adding them in Midnight based on the aforementioned headcanon about them being Void-resistant, or in TLT where a class with more Titan themes would be more appropriate.

I will always remain hopeful for Tinker, and I enjoy talking to like-minded people about it. Admittedly, the lack of a tech class, especially for races that are heavily focused on tech, has always caused me to feel a bit out of place.

To all my fellow tech geeks, stay optimistic and keep the dream alive!

I figured it was sarcasm. I liked it just in case I was wrong.

It’s not that there’s a lack of tech presence in WoW. You’re right that the narrative has introduced some crazy tech stuff without a Tinker player class.

What myself and others are vouching for is the ability to fully embody that fantasy as a player character. Engineering does nothing for us in that regard. I can’t stand toe to toe with Azeroth’s evils with bomb(s) that has a 5min cooldown.

and what blizzard are vouching for is to not introduce them to wow.

I’m very interested in Blizzard speaking for themselves on this matter, but I’ll never assume/presume one way or the other without clear verbiage or action.

Such as, “we’re not introducing any more classes” etc.

i think the fact that there are no new classes coming the next expansion speaks for itself. i’m sorry you can’t accept reality.

Yea i used to be all for them but idk their fantasy isnt really fleshed out. Its basically lots of professions in one package. People point at gazlowe and gelvin but they arejust a couple of heroes. How do you make them different? Their armor and gadgets? I meam blizzard could go balls to the wall and implement all tinkers with mech suits (by all tinkers I mean goblin and gnome only those two since they are small races). Thats be cool but then transmog people would complain like they did with evoker.

Idk theh arent really reasy to ship a lot has to be thought and I woulsnt want them to be just normal g&g with a gun. That would be a disservice.

We got THE most requested class ever and two bonuses in dk and monk. Just stop

Never, the Tinkers’ Union is going no where.

Tinkers have a lot of potential and since it would only be for goblins and gnomes there would probably not be a lot of people playing them.

and blizzard is never making tinkers.

I never wanted a DH or a monk, though monks can be fun.

I know I would be. As far as me playing on my Gnome character as a Tinker.

I’m pretty confidant that they have a concept for them, whether or not they plan to release them. Considering they have groups like Gob Squad, G.E.A.R., Gazlowe’s Greasemonkeys, and Razak’s Roughriders, thematically, it has already been created. There are also many abilities already connected to them.

Time will tell.

Maybe, who knows, I do find it curious that, despite having a three xpac roadmap, there was no mention of new class(es) or spec(s).

The thing I’d do to be a fly on the wall and KNOW one way or the other ha.
