Blizz - Fix the Currency & Reward Costs for the Anniversary Event, ***Immediately***

Wow, 48 people from a game with millions! There’s dozens of you!

They did accomplish something. They farmed it during the wow 20 year anniversary. Those who miss it, won’t be able to do that, ever.

I wouldn’t even mind the grind, but I’m finding it really hard to get in groups for stuff like Chromie and BRD. I tried several times last night and each que estimation was well over 30 min which in turn limits what else I can do while I wait. Overall kind of frustrating and it will only get worse as the event goes on I’m afraid.

An event like this should be a huge THANK YOU to the players for keeping this game alive for 20 years. Instead, Blizz treats it like any other generic holiday.

Yeah, I don’t get it. Generally speaking, people have the rest of the game to play so why would you make the “fun” anniversary event into a slog?

Boggles the mind lol.

I get the feeling people on this forum would not have been happy unless they just gave everyone the sets without having to earn them at all. Then they would’ve complained they weren’t up to their exact specifications.

Why the hell would anyone need to “earn” anything from an Anniversary event lol?

How’s it a slog? I’m having fun. Sounds like your personal opinion.

Dur…

Maybe playing dress-up isn’t as popular as people like to think? :dracthyr_shrug:

Or maybe having an army of alts and YOU HAVE TO HAVE EVERYTHING FOR EVERY ONE OF THEM is an extremely rare mentality. I don’t particularly care about ANY of the new outfits; I don’t like the Monk one, and don’t really play any of my other characters much to even care what they’re wearing.

Or maybe it’s because this stuff will just be available again in future anniversary events (like all the anniversary stuff).

Or maybe the season just started and on Tuesdays people are busy with their regular stuff. Check back on the weekend and see if it’s more lively.

Yes, I also have my personal opinion. It appears they cancel out and Blizzard can safely do nothing.

That’s just a normal day for them lol.

Good, they shouldn’t respond to histrionics on the forums or reddit.

I agree, which is why Mythic should never get nerfed, both the raid and Mythic+.

def was lackluster. meh they got some resubs. grats to them

They aren’t particularly hard to obtain.
It’s just that the process is so unnecessarily tedious that it’s alienating.

It’s actually funny to think of the event as having an expensive upfront cost for the T2 sets, as an often better sales tactic is making the first item cheaper than the rest… or giving it out for free.

A fairly simple way of accomplishing this, in the context of the event, is the one-off intro quests for the event providing enough tokens (this works better if the cost is a flat 20 tokens from the start) to get your first ensemble. Then you had to do the event to earn the currency for the rest if you so choose.

Instead, they’ve done the opposite and are making you get (and spend) 100 tokens on your first two sets before the cost is down to 20 per set for the restAND you’re earning extra tokens by doing the activities.

So yeah, these are very bad sales tactics.

For better or for worse, players will jump through too many hoops for transmog. It’s definitely the main source of interest for anyone not entrenched in the endgame progression path.

Is it tedious? You just do a few weekly activities.

NO! And don’t you even think about unsubscribing from our game because this will BE GONE forever if you don’t get it trickle fed to you over the next 3 months. DEAL WITH IT

For several weeks.
To get the first noteworthy item.

And only after the first two such items are obtained are the rest of it where it should have been from the beginning.

60 tokens for the first.
40 tokens for the second.
20 tokens for the rest.

The higher costs for the first & second sets shouldn’t exist.

OP, I couldn’t agree more.

This is not a celebration for players.
This is just another grind-fest, with lackluster, stingy reward system.
