Blizz - Fix the Currency & Reward Costs for the Anniversary Event, ***Immediately***

Potentially one of the most overrated mogs in the game actually.

So a bunch of extra stuff that’s out of the way? Sounds like a whole lot of finger lifting to me.

that’s kinda what they did in Warlords for the corehound mount, Complete the molten core raid and get the big reward you desire… is there any reason to even touch BRD this event?

Welp, got another thing to add to the list of things to fix.

Chromie’s Codex

Or more specifically, requiring that the player need TWW to access it. Currently has a 30+ minute queue to do join it (granted, as DPS)… but there is LITERALLY NO INDICATION that it’s TWW only until you’ve already joined the group. The quest for it says nothing, you can still queue for it… but you’re not allowed in.

This is the equivalent to having the door slammed in your face at the last second.

I can’t even think of why it’s TWW-only, isn’t it supposed the AQ Gate Opening Event? Yeah, very annoyed with the event now. Not getting tokens from TWW-only stuff is fine, but there seems to be no logical reason for that to apply to Codex event; and it comes with the double-whammy of not being able to complete the meta-achievement for the mount. Especially when you can do literally every other part of it.

This event is starting to turn into a very literal insult.

EDIT:
Some quick looks appear to suggest this might just be a bug. Still, bloody annoyed.

I agree 100% the original OP. The is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to slow, for no good reason.

They come from lots of stuff. Weeklies from all the events mostly.

it’s a move to force you to buy TWW and give Blizz your money…all it really is. They made it clear they don’t care about us the players all they care about is money and profit while they drop crap on our laps and call it content

So you were wrong again.
Dude you’ve been incorrect about literally everything you’ve posted, it’s wild.

Considering the patterns, the events won’t actually take anything away from the other. The only thing that could be changed is the shorter holiday events might have added anniversary Rewards so you’re looking at a net change of zero or a positive one, so there’s no real problem in the events overlapping.

And I don’t know if you knew this, this isn’t new. If anything, it’s probably better this way then the previous one simply because they added deterministic Rewards instead of locking them all behind RNG drops. The event raid has them, all of the anniversary rewards have them, and you earn them by playing the game, as a bonus.

If you want to argue that there is no point to the rewards, you’d be right. There was no reason for them to add a bunch of new cosmetics besides wanting to do something for an anniversary event, players just playing the game will get the things they want by playing the game.

The same kind of argument came up with the remix, people played for one day complain they didn’t have everything but then after everything was buffed people completed it and got everything within one month and then the last 3 months became irrelevant. The main thing to be asking is, Is it feasible to get everything you want before the event ends? With this method yes. With previous events especially other holiday events, the answer is usually no because was gated behind RNG.

I think this is the most reasonable request made so far and one I actually like.

So i dont know if there is anymore that i can earn but i have 33 bronze tokens atm it takes 360 for all the sets if 33 is all you can get a week then you cannot get all the sets. Let alone anything else like the obsidian world breaker or the corehound mount. Sooo what we have too choose what we can have from these events and stiff until they decide to add this stuff for tendies?

It’s 320 total for all T2 sets, there’s a discount for buying your first set and another after buying the second one. Still a lot of work.

Waiting 3 weeks to get one set is such BS. It really questions why am I even playing this game if they are going to put me on this hamster wheel (BTW THIS IS A CELEBRATION) of chores where some are just plain awful and not fun to do.

The only thing I actually found fun so far was mount mania.

-Waiting for lfr queen kill is not fun.
-Waiting for pvp queues are not fun.
-Loading into a losing pvp brawl after that wait is not fun.
-Getting queued with a healer with lvl 70 gear is not fun.
-Waiting for LFR BRD queue (3 wings) is not fun.
-Waiting for chromie time is not fun.
-Chromie time was not fun at ALL. A waste of dev time.

Imagine going to a birthday party where you have to do all these chores just to earn some plates, utensils, cups for 2 hours just so you can have a ****ing amuse bouche piece of cake and Costco sample sized drinks. LIKE what kind of celebration is this?!

How many token can you earn week 1 because seems ill be capped at 39 for week. There are no new daily for me to pick up.

Blizzards celebration for loyal players who have played for 20 years:

“Waste your time on our game doing 18 different weekly quests to earn a currency that won’t even give you 1 of the new transmog sets! Hope you didn’t want to get them all, because it’s going to take you months of doing every single weekly quests, especially the ones you don’t want to do!”

48 check wowhead

You really won’t get it by just playing the game though. You have to do very specific things, many of which you might not ever do, in order to get anywhere. And just the volume of things you need to do as it stands right now, will prevent a big part of the player base from getting much of anywhere.

The way they implemented the discount was even bad. All it does is punish people with limited play time.

But I am expecting the Remix treatment here. People will complain (and they were right to do so in both cases) and changes will happen to make it MUCH easier.

Most of the weeklies can be done in under 2 hours and those are on weekly lockouts. The only things that make it take longer would be the things you have to queue for. I’m not sure if the audience you are fighting for is the audience actually playing the game because you can play 30 minutes a day and complete all of the weeklies except for probably the Codex and delves one.

you can keep your t2 sets, they look like garbo

I’d rather spend 2 hours a week pulling my teeth out. I’ve been doing all these weeklies every week since launch, I don’t want to have to continue to do them every week for MANY MORE MONTHS
