BLIZ does it again for the ret pally community. STop nerfing and start BUFFFING! this healling nerf is 100% unnecessary. AT LEAST GIVE US BETTER UTILITY if your going to nerf the ONLY thing keeping us alive after our 3-10 mins CDS

You cant use youtube videos of bad players to justify nerfs. Any decently geared player can 1v3 a bunch of scrubs.

A 3v3 in which 1 person did all the damage in 1 giant burst… The other 2 contributed nothing. Look at the damage meter.

Proof that the players are bad or are you just salty because a video proved you wrong?

I’m curious as to why, you as a warlock, are complaining about Rets… warlocks are one of ret’s hardest counters. Ret already lacks mobility and warlocks have a 50% perma slow the entire match, not to mention any lock at over 1800mmr will just put the corruption slow on a ret. wait for them to walk over to them then teleport and repeat until the match is over, and the warlock ultimately does between 2-4x what the ret did for dmg. Now a smart ret will use wings, seraphim, trinket, divine toll THEN use his hand of freedom so that with all their CDs popped they can hopefully get 3 or 4 globals on the warlock in that 8 sec timeframe. With that said, if the warlock is any good then they’ll recognize this, fear, run to portal and by the time the freedom has expired the ret is slowed again walking toward the warlock for the remainder of wings. As a warlock you have no right to QQ about rets with a perma slow legendary. Rets deserve 2 freedoms baseline or judgement movement speed increase now that both our healing and dmg has been nerfed. Ppl just don’t get that the ret has to blow/build quite a few CDs to be able to do big burst. You’re obviously pretty bad at recognizing when their bursting if you’re a warlock that can’t beat a ret. I’ll give you a hint, if you see wings on their back, run away, pop your defensives and you’ll win 100% of the time. I feel like you shouldn’t even be able to discuss nerfs/buffs about arena if you’re sub 1800… ret is probably one of the easiest classes to counter since they have no mobility and our dmg and healing has been needed to the ground while warriors and monks are still getting dmg increases. Just give us a bit more mobility and I think that would balance it quite a bit.

Your argument is a bit disingenuous when you fail to mention that 20 of those 25 are holy, or -god help us- prot; seeing as this is a RET healing thread.

“Seraphim + Wings + On-Use Trinket + plus they used 4 CC’s to give him 12% additional crit & 12% additional damage from Vengeance Aura. Outside of Berserker buff from BG’s that was literally the dream situation AND he RNG’d every ability as a crit”

Divine toll did the majority of his damage in that fight which crit; so that judgment +25% damage from wings, the Vengeance aura for 12%, plus 2 damage doubling effects from it being a Divine Toll Crit, turning a 2500 damage judgment into ~11k damage.

That’s on Blizzard for overturning a single Covenant Ability, but has nothing to do with Ret’s healing ability.
I’m for bringing Divine tolls power in line with other Covenants, but we shouldn’t dictate kit base power off of temporary powers from an expansion.

Yes you forget to mention how “squishy” locks are. And how ineffective their “fear” is atm. Oh and the pets die really fast. Then there’s the spamable “cc” that has a very noticeable diminishing return. Then the only burst potential you have is “dispellable” and subject to spell steal. Syphon…who uses that? The only dot protection is “UA” which is laughable once it’s dispelled. Poses no real threat to any competent healer. Play WL and then come back and tell me how OP it is. In PVP it’s trash tier at best. And guess who’s getting “nerfed” again. I will take WL for 1000 Alex. Surprise you just got the “daily double”. But I’m not QQing!

Divine Toll has already been nerfed or I should say its conduit Ring Clarity has. You cannot get that kind of damage anymore, not in pvp.

Ringing Clarity doesn’t change the fact that Critting with Divine toll is a 4x modifier, nerfing it just stops that conduit from 1 shotting people.

What. Yeah you can. I still get occasional shots of dopemine when the CD’s are rollin’ and Ringing Clarity gives a maximum payout and just obliterates someone. Poor Johnny 20k hp/3% verse is gonna die every minute I look at him. Even Chad 220 iLvl/25% verse man could get the raw end of the deal and end up in serious condition.

But then again, I’m nearly 220 and you’re 203 so I see it a lot more than you do from my end.

Complains about Rets, uses stats on Holy.

This stat is so irrelevant, maybe 1-2 of those individuals are ret, the rest are holy and for no reason at all maybe a couple are prot. With that said, rets are decent in 3s but are rendered almost useless in 2s because their CDs are so easy to predict and they don’t have any mobility.
