I don’t really see the big deal. As others have said, being blind IRL doesn’t (usually) make your eyes look any different. So to actually make it apparent, they just went with the “blind contacts” route:
I don’t like the way the draenei ones look, though. But I’ve played characters of that race for years without a second eye option…so not using this one doesn’t effect me that much either. /shrug
Well we do! We got the braille extension added to the forums, so why not get proper representation in-game? 
The issue is how bad it looks on some races and especially going from what Nelfs had to what they have now.

Gotta say I’ve never paid attention to blind eyes to know they changed. Not an aesthetic I ever see myself using, but you can’t win them all.
