About a 40% nerf

EDIT: Spriest trait that buffs Mind Sear nerfed by 50% as well.

I’m too awful at this game to tell if anything else is meaningful. I guess Vendetta trait nerfed some more too.

Tbh that nerf might make gpy not as effective. Gpy owns because if it goes off they can 100-0 with the rest of their instant damage but if thats weaker it stops being as effective tbh.

Probably won’t be necessary. You know how much I despise fire but greater pyro really only has potency if the fire mage has the ability to follow up very quickly with a certain threshold of instant damage, which is what blaster master did. You could hit with a 5% nerf or so just for extra measure but think they’re going after the right thing. Without a baseline nerf to certain spells, though, I do fear blaster master will just be dumped an another, powerful build will quickly be hit upon w/ other traits. Still think meteor hits a bit too hard imo.

maybe. but with higher item level gpyro will be easier to get off with increased haste on gear, also greater pyro becomes more potent with increased healthpools, it will only get stronger as the expansion progresses.

im sure it will get nerfed when the ladder is flooded with fire/destro next week

I’m not too happy about the UDK Magus trait being nerfed into the ground but that’s the price we pay for a blaster master nerf (and stupid SPriest trait nerf) I will gladly take it on the chin for us all

It’s true I was just making more of a Legion comparison tho, Gpy wasnt as good since fire didn’t have a ton of instant damage so if they did cast a gpy they gave up a ton of damage.

On top of that I think they are trying to buff hellchains into relevancy even though everyone hates spells copy pasted from D3.

Good. Now all the Mages that were walled at 2.2 as frost and are 2800+ as fire can get their reality check. You wouldn’t believe some of the mental gymnastics I’ve seen from fire mage this season. Had one guy tell me fire just " clicked " better with him than frost lmao.

Thank god they nerfed the mind sear traits though. Maybe now we can avoid the over nerf later…

Yeah I saw that too. The buff is minimal and bad all around. It would be decent if it just radiated an aoe around the pet instead of the completely unreliable chains.

Looks like the FDK trait got a boost. Too bad I dont like breath spec. At all.

Nah just que up next week. You aren’t entitled to an education here. It’s a big nerf to Fire Mages across all areas of the game. If you believe otherwise thats fine. I’m already smiling imagining you queing up next week.

Interesting, I’ll be sure to mention that to Volkazar later, since he’s running 3/3 haste over blaster master.

Guess he’s bad and doesn’t know math. Side note, why would I que up. I hit 2800 swapping between 2/3 BM 1 Arch and 2/3 haste 1 Arch
