Was lucky enough to have this drop in a group where I was the only caster. Am shadow priest and was wondering if anyone knew the proc chance?

I’ve seen something’s that say 10% but was also wondering if it proccd on certain spells. I know it won’t proc on individual ticks of SW:P but does it proc on the initial cast? And will it proc on all ticks of Mind Flay, or just the first cast, if it procs at all?

Been trying to look for info buts it’s all scattered and old. If anyone has this tested that would be great.

proc chance is very low and not worth using on your class. This item becomes much more valuable in the hands of a mage using abilities that deal AoE damage like flame strike. I sell zg boosts during pre patch and I usually gain anywhere from 12-14k mana back, but this is because I am hitting over 50+ mobs simultaneously. Using BoED in regular dungeons will never see this much efficiency because at most you’ll only be dealing with 5 mobs at a time. Proc rate seems to be about 5%.

Hang onto it for if you ever decide to pick up holy nova, otherwise as noted above, its not really a benefit to a shadow priest.

Ya. It’s much better on a smite priest with surge of light.

Thanks for the feed back. Would it be worth it to Respec already to holy? I plan to later on for healing but would I lose alot of DPS if I did already?
