Blackwing Descent entrance bugged?

I’m at the entrance, but cannot enter. I’ve tried reloading, re-logging, disabling all addons, and different difficulties. No joy. Please advise.

I’d have a few questions for clarification.

This character, or another?

Live or classic server?

Just to simplify, your flying to the upper terraces, not inside the mountain.

Is your character participating in chrome time if on retail?

Classic doesn’t have old-world flying or Blackwing Descent. That was part of Cata.

I’m 60, at the raid entrance, retail server. Not Chromie Time.

Are you getting an error/message of any kind when you attempt to step into the raid instance?

That helps refresh things a bit, googlefoo mentioned something about the Wrathian quest as a possible cause. What quest likes are you on. Do you have a character name and server

No error/message. The character is Sepültüra on Kil’Jaeden. I am working on the Wrathion line.

EDIT: Finished that Wrathion bit and now I’m in. Thanks.

Which quest? The quest “Beginning the Decent” has you go to Blackwing Decent, but when you enter it is a scenario, since it is intended to be completed by a single player, not a raid.

You don’t yet appear to be on that quest yet, you have “The Engine of Nalak’sha”, which takes place at the Mogu’shan Palace.

I’m not entirely certain why you might not be able to enter Blackwing Decent normally, unless you have already completed that raid and are locked out. If that is the case you should usually receive a message in your general chat window.

From what I can see, Sycoraxx, you are currently standing in the raid instance, not the scenario. You don’t yet have the quest you need to be in Blackwing Decent, you want to complete The Engine of Nalak’sha, if you are doing the Wraithion questline to earn the cloak.

There wasn’t anything to fix. You have to be at the scenario entrance, not the raid entrance. You have to be by yourself and have completed the pre-requisite quests.

This still isn’t fixed. Completed all quests long ago and still can’t zone in.

Please be mindful of the dates this thread is a year old this is better off in bug reports with a more detailed decription then its still buged.

For the original issue this thread was about there was no issue with the game.
