Blackout reinforcement as a capstone

After playing it so far this patch I’ve actually grown fond of having black out kicks hitting like rising sun kicks, not entirely a fan of the random part. The cdr is ok but I can live without, but personally I like blackout reinforcement more then bonedust and faeline at least so it occurred to me I would not mind seeing it as a replacement capstone if push came to shove. Or even just an extra one in a free space.

In that hypothetical situation would you like to see that? Would you like to see it with a caveat? Off the top of my head my ideal would be it being made a node after whirling dragon punch where the proc comes from whirling dragon punch instead of free casts of spinning crane kick. Cdr could still be there but is optional as far as I’m concerned. Having it on wdp makes it more consistent and also encourages taking wdp which I dearly miss in a world of touch of death talent I don’t want and faeline stomp.

I wouldn’t mind it, but it would have to be not RNG auto attack rng.

Same for dance of chi-ji.

I would like it to be something like.
Every xy chi spent grants dance of chi-ji.

And something like.
Rising sun kick has a 50% chance to reinforce Blackout kick while FoF is on CD.

Would go well with one wanting to RSK while FoF is on CD for the CDR. Tying it together kind of.

Anything really that isn’t just pure RnG.

I had dance procs back to back annihilating details. And 0 procs till the end.
It’s the low lows that make the spec feel bad. Where the high highs give you goosebumps. Sadly you have zero control. I had so many dance procs with the last attack and just seeing the timer run out on the way to the next pull.

Yes but there are some things to learn from its design.

Flurry of Blows and Peak Performance center around significant attack speed increases when using Tiger Palm and adding a Teachings of the Monastery like proc effect to auto attacks (except Blackout Kick fires from any ability, but consumes a max of one stack at a time). This is intended to address some of the poor haste scaling by adding value to Monk’s weaker than average auto-attack loop.

One of the concerns is that Blackout Reinforcements already somewhat exists in the form of Teachings of the Monastery, and adding a new talent without consolidating and cleaning the tree doesn’t help our issue of lackluster talent taxes for too widely spread “must haves”.

Because every spec has synergy around Blackout Kicks, I feel this belongs in the general tree and not specific to Windwalker too. Replace Tiger Statue even.
