5 ABs 4 Deepwinds and 1 seething shore… pls bring it back ![]()
For the record… I don’t mind these bgs… I just don’t want to run the same type over and over… a little control over that would help <3

I think we should have soft blacklist. Instead of removing 100% one battleground, we would rank them in our preferred order so that we would get our favorite BG’s more often while taking in consideration everyone’s ranking.
I’m not sure if i’m clear ![]()
Example of what I mean :
| BG | Score |
|---|---|
| Warsong Gulch | === |
| Arathi Basin | === |
| Eye of the Storm | === |
| Silvershard Mines | === |
| Seething Shore | === |
Then you are able to remove points from one BG and instead assign them to another so that you’re more likely to get your preferred ones.
| BG | Score |
|---|---|
| Warsong Gulch | ====== |
| Arathi Basin | === |
| Eye of the Storm | ======= |
| Silvershard Mines | === |
| Seething Shore | = |
Meaning the ones you would win easier, which you might as well delete the ones that are harder to win for the sake of progression. It’s a nice thought to include all BGs, but people look WAY harder at which ones have the best odds.
That leaves Blizzard to either work on balancing the maps or discontinue them altogether, and we can see which choice is easier to make lol.
No. I win Seething Shore (for example) at about the same rate as I win all my other BGs. That’s not the problem. The problem is that the design of Seething Shore is hot garbage, and I don’t blame other people for liking or disliking other maps for their own reasons.
I suppose, but nobody really rolls to lose unless they’re already capped and are just bored.
Of course nobody rolls to lose, but BGs are literally a zero-sum game. Someone has to lose. What I’m saying is that none of that is relevant because Seething Shore is a badly designed battleground.
Fair argument. But I know I myself would blacklist any BG I have the least favorable odds of winning if I’m progressing…
This is like the dream night of Queing right here. I’d do anything for 5 Ab’s 4 Deepwind and 1 seething. AB and Deepwind are my favorite BGs!!!
Having player agency is key. Also sometimes Queing with friends we all have personal taste. A BG pops that they hate and they just won’t join it lol. Furthermore after a long day at work there might be some BGs I’m not in the mood for depending on that day.
Blacklisting just makes the player experience better.
With the recent Arena Map rotation no idea why they can’t have Blacklisting.
I played ESO during SL and just returned to WoW for DF, and Blacklisting was something I wished had been present in that other game too.
Was disappointed to see it wasn’t around when I came back, would be really nice to nix Wintergrasp and rotate which of the normal BGs I got tired of seeing.
