I wasn’t against the high elf options. They’re just not my focus.
I am against paladin and a change to the placard… I think thats just going a little too far with Void Elves specifically. But I don’t begrudge those asking by any means. Nor do I intend to bother them on it. If thats what they want its what they want.
Tattoos, glyphs and entropic embrace options I’m actually more or less for in one way or another.
That will take time. None of this can be fixed overnight. Blizzard gave us no reason to trust. So they’ll have to earn it again.
There isn’t a way to “fix” the faction imbalance and in no way would ANY race ever affect it meaningfully.
The best option at this point would be to allow us to play with both sides. Not remove Factions. But we’re heroes. We’re often mercenaries. Just let us do what the world needs us to do regardless of the factions and assist them as needed. Let them continue to drive story points but are no longer concerned with only using their people.
Let the players earn rep with the Horde and Alliance regardless of race and open up more options for being around those factions.
Like have a Human start as Friendly with the Alliance as a whole and hated with the Horde. Let them have an area to quest for the Horde to get rep (or the Alliance) and then eventually as you get more and more into the foreign faction to your races rep levels you can actually get deeper into their lands.
Big undertaking.
Easiest option would just be to let us all party together regardless of faction though.

It’d be nice if it was a character creation toggle. I don’t want the Void Elves eaten. I’ve got a void elf monk, priest and rogue that’ll be staying void elves.
But this was always going to be an issue when they chose to do customizations this way. Hopefully they find a clever solution.
Or just change the name and include both groups of elves.
Yeah, turns out that the devs chanting for the horde at blizzcon for sixteen years straight had some foreseen consequences.
Yeah. I think that’s the only thing that’ll send people back to Alliance. Plenty of people say all the time they want to play Alliance but can’t because of group content.
Eh. I don’t think they should choose that. I mean, maybe add factions that are more neutral.
But World of Warcraft should remain World of Warcraft even if the players aren’t acknowledging it.

ugh. No they should not do that, specially since void elves stands in contrary of what the high elves that stayed with alliance’s beleifs.

Cause they’re both Elven groups and are both in the Alliance.
At the same time, I can’t really see normal High Elves (not the wayfarers) hanging out in the rifts.

I’m beginning to enjoy that concept for Subraces that was going around awhile back… especially if that also gets me real Wildhammer…
Thats not what caused it. Regardless though once it was started the only way to fix it would have been to make a similar mistake but for the Alliance. Which would only have resulted in the same outcome but with the Alliance more populous.
There is nothing that they can do. Best option for the game is just letting us play together.

The eyes are interesting.
Void Elves are strange for me. The idea of a race of people moments away from a lovecraftian horror story is weird to me. They are a very strange group in the Alliance.
I guess maybe they’re synonymous with Undead on the horde. Like, The Forsaken are kind of your friends… Kind of.

Yeah I love them all almost equally but I have a weakness towards these eyes, they all look so perfect!!
I also especially love the first pic with the black hairstyles, those being the long ponytail, the topknot and the side braid. I’d also really love a hair tied up style like the ship shape from Kul’tirans.

Was this really so surprising? The idea behind Void Elves is good but why would anyone give a 2-faction system a compromise race which didn’t exist before? The best solution would have been to established High Elves and giving the Alliance then the Void options. Not the other way around.
The Silver Covenant elves where the right and only answer from various points of views. I would have also been extremely upset if they denied us the Zandalari Trolls and invent the Hawaii Trolls as a compromise race for the Horde.
You Alliance-players are a second rate faction and it’s time you step up and ask for the stuff you want. I’m glad you all got the High Elves now, it was about time.

Are we viewing the same lore here? Why would a group that left the blood elves because they do not wanna suck on living beings mana join the group that 0 association with them, came from the group that did such on living beings mana, and now currently using a magic that naturally seeks to devour all things? What “integrety” (the alliance high elf theme) would there be in that?
No they are 2 separate groups, like it or not, that is not apart of each other, other then faction affiliation.
I am glad too.
Blizzard should’ve just given us High Elves right from the beginning. But hey, now we got them through customisations, I am happy that we finally got something.
But I will be requesting for more.
