I mean if you’re going to nerf a prof…think there is a saying about a goose and gander about it. Prof changes are relative, It wasn’t really needed its just all the spoiled brats complained that they needed flasks.

This change buffed herbalism for real players, only nerfed it for bots.
It was needed
So, you thought the economy was healthy? You were good with bots and gold buyers setting the prices for consumables? This change is only a good one and you’d have to do some considerable mental gymnastics to believe otherwise.
Realistically, most of the people farming and selling the lotus were RMT bots anyway. Sucks that legit herbalists trying to make a profit get caught in the crosshairs but unless Blizzard deigns to include the token in this version I’m not going to lose a wink of sleep over being able to play more efficiently because some herbalist gets to stop benefiting off of the hyperinflation they’re directly contributing to.
With scheduled maintenance today, we made the following changes on Anniversary realms:
- Black Lotus can now occasionally be found when gathering Gromsblood, Golden Sansam, Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, Plaguebloom, or Icecap with 300 Herbalism skill.
- Picking a Black Lotus will sometimes drop an additional Black Lotus.
You’ll see these and other hotfixes in our next hotfixes update.
