Black Lotus and WSG Adjustments

Very welcome changes indeed! Now regular players can actually farm lotus without having to compete with the cartels with 10 level 1 corpses camping the nodes in every zone.

Thanks blizz!

Why would yo do something against them?

Just gather your own 10 dudes and smash BGs.
Premades are totally fine.

they already did this to devilsaur, stop acting like it’s a new shocking thing they did. They realized clowns like you were starting a mafia and busted it up early on, no idea how it went on this long

I saw they wanted to block your observation, those spiteful people, anyways i quoted it here for you.

The next logical step should be to address the botting.

Hey Blizzard,

I think all of these changes are really positive. If someone does happen to read this, I think the removal of exploits in WSG is a good call, but at the same time a fine line.

Things like ToT jumps, GY jumps, and jumps that all Factions/Races can do, should be allowed !

Things like portal jump, glitching underneath the base into the cap point, race specific exploits should be dealt with appropriately. Having the factor of jumps adds a level of depth and skill to the game, and they aren’t very hard to do with just a little bit of practice.

I would advise against totally destroying the skill of being able to make jumps in the WSG map, and hopefully proceed with caution. There are plenty of forums and links out there that show race-specific exploits !

Please consider this before just 100% abolishing all exploits!

Am hopeful the increased number of nodes (70+ per zone? :crossed_fingers: ) makes this a non-issue.

Blizzard works of empirical data, not anecdotes. So obviously since they are implementing this change, the majority of the player base is unsatisifed with the current black lotus rates. You are right we don’t need it, we could clear content in greens. Shoot, we don’t need to even play this game. But good guilds want it at reasonable prices and not be extorted from people trying to make a living off the game.

Your main problem here is suggesting that the way players played the game now is akin to how they played it back in vanilla.

Gonna let ya in on a secret here;

They don’t.

Your second problem is that you are kind of being an entitled p.o.s. But let’s focus on more of the first point.

In Vanilla was BWL downed in a day? Or MC downed in 2? In Vanilla was Ony’s head coordinated with the entire server to be enjoyed by everyone before each raid?

In Vanilla did we parse and min/max to the degree we are now?

Well we all know you have to answer no to all these questions which points to the conclusion that the game is min maxed to a degree that we had not seen in vanilla. Due partly or mostly to the fact that this game is 15 years old and as such the players have managed to optimize their performance.

Well that effect carried over to Alterac Valley. Where clearly the map is not “same but different” Clearly the small advantages enjoyed in vanilla are large chasms in today’s Alterac Valley.

Things like the horde being allowed to both get too, and cap SFGY - the key to the entire map- before the alliance can even get to it. This small detail all but overlooked in vanilla is a needless obstacle for the alliance to overcome. (Should you have the bravery to admit that it’s much easier to defend with 40, a flap cap than it is to assault a flag with 40)

Why should you be allowed this advantage?

The answer is you shouldn’t. You don’t deserve it.

So until you wanna fess up to the actual problems facing toda’s Alterac Valley, I strongly suggest not posting about issues you don’t even know about or even care to admit too.

Good day sir.

good changes, I can’t wait to see the crying

they already changed devilsaur spawns months ago, another lotus hoarder running to the forums on a low level alt to complain rofl

The problem is that real world traders are hoarding large number of lotuses and transferring around with them. This will probably just put more lotuses in RWTs hands because most of them roam around zones to farm them.
Unless the spawn time has been quartered, this won’t crash the market too hard. Prices on Benediction-US dropped to about 130g after layers had been implemented around ZG’s release. I imagine they will settle around that price once the panic cools, assuming a halving of the spawn time.
I really believe just as many/few lotuses will reach the AH. This is simply going to allow a wider range of herbalists to hold on to lotuses.

Hey, at least Plaguebloom will continue to raise in price (2g+ a piece).

yeah EU servers are literally selling blotus on ebay for real money

The values were changed in BC.

Good change, imo. I’m happy to see Blizzard is watching these issues.

Both of these things are cool and good. It’s possible to enjoy more than one thing at once!

Awesome changes, perfectly in “vanilla spirit” while impeding the actions of those who would screw up the game for others. Hope more like this is coming.

I hope they get rid of them all, even your favorites.

Cool story. Fix the Herod queues. I can’t even get on to farm a black lotus unless I plan my night out 4 hours in advance.

wasn’t the horde cave originally moved up because of horde players doing exactly the same thing?
