That’s not a new game.
What was the point of this? I don’t care if you buy it and didn’t say anything about that.

Larion is an excellent developer who also publishes their games. The made an excellent cRPG for the PC first that sold well on consoles due to well earned publicity and having a great IP under license. EA is not going to let Bioware do that, it’s not the EA business model. CD projekt red may be the only other developer & publisher who can do that.
it’s the answer to your question “the last time BioWare released a game?”
It’s not a new game so how is that answering my question?
elementary school reading and compression can be difficult for some

On 14 May 2021, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4,[55] and the Xbox One series.
And being a decent human being is hard for you? Really, what is the point of this?
I meant new game, not a rehashed game with some sparkles thrown on it. You knew exactly what I meant and besides being nasty, you’re being pedantic too.
Plus, I wasn’t looking for an answer since I answered myself. 2019.
Actually, their first well selling console crpg wasn’t even bg3, but dos2
People want good games, regardless of genre
Unfortunately I do not have mind reading skills.
you answered wrong
With Baldur’s Gate 3 acting as proof of concept that a AAA cRPG can sell incredibly well in the modern era, I could see EA or other major publishers going in for that kind of game.
Especially if they can use the D&D brand to market it, and we know WotC wants to expand their brand and that Larian isn’t doing another game with them.
Though with the timeframe it takes to make a AAA game, we probably wont hear about it for a while even assuming it does happen.
Since I meant a new game, no I was not wrong.
100% wrong
Mass Effect came out in 2007. Sprinkles were added in 2021.
No, I’m not wrong.

Nah. Larian produces labors of love.
BG3 was in EA for an eternity and constantly going through changes. AAA studios would never finance that.
The only producer that can top BG3 is Larian itself.
yes, you are wrong
If we’re talking Steam charts for BioWare games and the fact that DA:V is record setting, we should also note that EA games as a whole weren’t on Steam for the better part of a decade.
Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Anthem all released as Origin exclusives.
Oh I’m not saying they’re gonna come close to topping BG3 or even do it like Larian did with 3 years of early access and iterating on player feedback.
but I can definitely see them going in for a AAA cRPG once again after almost 2 decades of conventional wisdom being that genre isn’t viable at that level.
These publishers tend to be all over any formula they think can make them money, even if they don’t understand why it was successful.
Setting your own record?
That’s the only point I was making.
100% wrong
