Billing address issue

I keep getting support answers from “game masters” who have no knowledge of game mechanics, class abilities or how blizzard accounts work, who then threaten to permanently ban me if I keep asking for the ticket to be escalated.

The Blizzard GM’s are for the whole catalog of Blizz games and not only for WoW. Only if your case requires specialised support they may then send in a specialised WoW GM or dev on the case.

If you’re petitioning for game hints or feedback, this is not something they deal with.

This could be something they can help with, but without knowing what exactly you’re asking help for and seeing as they’re asking you to stop with a warning I doubt if its really as related as you make it seem.

it’s been several issues, one was my homonculi getting me a dhk. I was told I’d be perma banned for that one after asking for a gm that understood the spell because I was told “to dismiss them”. the other was my account payment method defaulting on blizzard’s end to an address from 5 years ago. I keep being told to clear my cache despite telling them repeatedly that it’s the same across 3 systems. I delete my payment method, put it back and the address on blizzard’s end defaults to one that I had before I even got my new laptop and was never associated with my payment method. this resulted in me having to pay via paypal as a last resort, today, when my sub expired.

You updated your address in account management?

GM staff can not remove or add honor kills, if you feel this was a bug then you will need to report it as such, either on the bug forum or via the in game report tool.

Blizzard does not outsource support. Their GM staff is located in either Irvine, CA or Austin, TX. GM’s handle all of Blizzard’s games and not just WoW.

yes, I updated it several times across computers, it keeps reverting

Have you tried temporarily disabling any AV or security software, or VPN service?

Looking over your tickets.

You seem to think that a sub running out removes your forum posts. If you’ve seen notices of posts being removed - it’s because of the posts, or the thread the posts were in.

This is absolutely incorrect. The account you are posting under shows 110 active posts.

As to changing your billing - that is something only you can do and I’ve heard of no issues with that. You do that through account management.

As to other things you’ve ticketed in for - no, GMs cannot adjust dishonorable kills, nor or they going to escalate a matter simply because you keep petitioning i insisting they do so. It’s not the end of the world to question an answer - we can make mistakes, but to repeatedly reopen tickets simply because you didn’t get the answer you desired will eventually turn into GM harassment. GM Harassment can result in account sanctions.

You seem to misconstrue a warning as a threat - it’s not a threat.

hi, thanks for getting back to me. I have notifications from blizzard stating this. I will paste one here

Your post has been removed because the account posting has no active game time.

Please visit account management…dots because links aren’t allowed… to add game time.

If we get a game master who doesn’t understand abilities in the video game we should be allowed to escalate the issue, don’t you agree?

You can’t post in most of our forums without gametime - but they don’t get removed.

that’s not what the message states.

Several people have posted here recently about their account information reverting on blizzard’s end. I first noticed it when I tried to buy a game token in wotlk 2 weeks ago.

They don’t agree.

then that’s really sad, we pay a lot to play this game, we should be able to speak with someone who is knowledgeable about the situations we are facing.

Okay, but since they are not able to adjust it in any way, what would speaking with them about the issue you’re facing solve?

because in the past when the game master said he couldn’t fix something that was broken on their end and I asked for a different game master, the issue was resolved.

Right now, although I have game time, it says I am not allowed to create new topics on the Season of Discovery forums.

when I try to post on the Wotlk forums it says "You need an active World of Warcraft subscription to post on this forum"

I’m in game now… there is something clearly wrong with the blizzard account system. It’s not on my end.

Gms have never been able to fix bugs it could only make things worse all GMs have teh same tools no gm is superior to the other.

That’s not how it’s ever worked to be honest. I’ve been posting here since the original Burning Crusade and when there’s something that a GM is not able to adjust, that has always meant that it’s something that NO GM can adjust.

I don’t know what sort of issue(s) you might have had in the past, but other than providing us players with systems that allow us to help ourselves instead of waiting for a GM, there haven’t been too many major changes to what GMs are able to help with.

If you feel that GMs should have greater powers, then posting constructively in the General Discussion forum would be more appropriate.

That’s a forum issue, not an in-game issue. GMs have almost no control over how the forum software works as it’s not made by Blizzard.

Make sure that you’re posting on a character that is on an account with active game time. Additionally, make sure to log out and back in to the forums completely to reset the login.

actually that is incorrect. I’ve had a character moved to locked servers because I explained the extraordinary situation that was happening and they moved me. this was during burning crusade. My mage was on earthfury and due to life circumstances, a game master moved it to benediction, which was locked at the time.

I am posting on the same account now, here, that I am unable to use to post anywhere else…

I’m over the dhk thing, I get that the ability is poorly written and I just never use it unless I am in a dungeon environment. I just need my account issues solved and the tickets I’ve submitted are form responses copied and pasted telling me to clear my cache. On three computers, which I’ve done.

That’s a long time ago. I don’t remember them locking servers back then and it was around the time that they introduced server transfers too (if my memory serves me).

That said, you’re referring to something different than your current issue.

If you’re still having an issue with your account, then it seems to be fairly rare and those can be difficult for the Tech Support team (not CS) to resolve. Sometimes they’re ISP related or just due to security software on player machines (again, out of the control of GMs or CS).

I’m not too sure what else to suggest unfortunately.

Because that is literally all a GM can give you as an answer. They can’t control access to the forum, especially if your account is showing as active on their end. Again this happens every now and then, sometimes it takes a few re-logs (on the forums) to kick the access back on. That is really all that can be suggested though, since GMs have no real access to the forum account.
