I doubt that’d be a problem. Here’s my character’s image from the lodestone before I gave up on FF14. He’s got blue highlights. I want highlights for all races tbh.
Is it bad that the tats are the last thing I noticed?

I did. Though it’s temporary.
I was playing around with screenshots and then had to go. Logged off and didn’t have a chance to log on before maintenance. Lol

I think BE’s would certainly benefit from a wider array of tattoo styles and colors, specially if the designs and colors are based of the different schools of magic they wield.

While it is pretty obvious the author of the fanart put on the effort, these are ridiculosly elaborated for both Blizzard’s skills and Goodwill (I mean people, assume the “top” of the curve are the DH tattoos. And these are waaaay more complex than those by far)
I’d remove the clutter of curvy lines and just leave the symbols and some runes.

Thanks but personally I’ll pass from Alleria inspired designs. I have 0 interests in looking like her.
Let the Belves keep their own design aesthetic. Also, no real differences in design relates to magical school, ergo Belves can simply use runes like the TBC gamebox as a source of inspiration.

It was, though I think it was more of a joke.
I do know there are a few people (across a few races) that would enjoy such things though. Maybe not a rainbow setup but multicolored formats. Streaks, highlights. That sort of thing.

do you know what race youre playing? if you dont want to look like her play a different race or a void elf with actual void customization not sure why you helfers always refer to them as ‘alleria/alleria inspired designs’
they are reflective of her time with the farstriders
that is their own design aesthetic. where do you think they originate from?
we know for a fact the farstriders use blue/green. we saw it in wc2. they made it into the game with alleria so we know they are a thing. its part of the blood elf heritage just like blue eyes. if you want to time lock yourself into TBC and pretend the sunwell was never restored and use green eyes because you think they shouldnt have blue eyes again(despite having them for thousands of years) thats your choice. do you
and truthfully there were probably many ‘high elves’ walking around outside of silvermoon with green eyes from fel exposure like this. game mechanics are not lore
You could be the most pious of priests or most outdoorsy of Farstriders, chances are, if you were a high elf in Quel’Thalas or Outland following the Third War, you were around fel energies, and your eyes would turn green.

I´m perfectly aware I´m playing a Blood elf; current racial motto of the formerly known as High elves who had a little bit more pride and arrogance than was healthy (nowadays the second name is related to the mana veganism a-holes that apparently valued more the life of a critter than the lost lives of their comrades, reason why yes, I can´t tolerate the tought of being given “High Elf” aesthetics).
In a very convoluted way Arthas did these people a favor, that pedestal they loved to put themselves on was gonna get them truly extinct one day.
Also, note the words “personally”. As in “myself, the irl human writting on these forums” Magnificent.
Sorry, but the puny pathetic line we see in Alleria´s current model is basically a complete opposite of the Survival Icon image and the actual WC2/WC3 alpha designs (the elf units on those games had a much bigger warpaint coverage. Basically 2/3 of the face is covered by the paint in those cases.
Alleria has a more Celtic subtle design (I know, sounds weird when Fen call the warpaint ideas “Braveheart inspired” that I -sorry Izzabelle T.T, i hope your hand is getting better- dared a very talented artist from this fandom to get done to appease my capricious nature). To put it in perspective:

If I have to pick between Alleria´s design (which is more similar to the design Hamish uses on that film a.k.a the big dude at the left of Mel Gibson) and the survival Icon design (which is, basically, Wallace´s design), I personally will always pick the second option).
Heck, check post No. 459, Fen put the best close-up for a “Felblood” NPC I´ve ever seen. With HUGE leaves painted on her face, literally almost half of her face is covered by the painted design. So this is a Belf issue indeed. HUGE paint, not shy lines that barely cover the eye.
Fair, though I rather this doesn´t become a thing outr of this place, Magnificent. the Helfers do pretty well by themselves as far as poaching from Belf design is concerned, we don´t need them sprouting this so they get the green eyes just for the next customization pass.
You know I hate the poaching stuff. I don´t want to get accused of poaching things from the Velf crowd.

As far as “runic” designs go, I just know i want one with a Salamander somewhere (remember me liking the FMA esque explanation of the runic scarifications on Blood elf culture? well, Fire magic specialist can certainly use Salamanders on their runes ala Mustang, I think).
