Bicycles in WoW?

Do they exist in the realm of possibility within the realm of Warcraft? Would you like to see them exist as well as have a basket option for your Battle Pet to sit in? Do you think it would be far to lock it at 60% speed or since we’re musclebound god slayers that 100% should be fine?

Do you think each race would tailor it to reflect a piece of their culture or would they only be supplied by gnomes/goblins?

Don’t see why not. We have motorcycles and flying machines.

Well it seems like they missed the middle step before the creation of motorcycles. Would they just ignore the possibility all together since they skipped right to mechanization?

Yes but only as a children’s week event where dadless orphans ask you to teach them how to ride one because their parents died in a war.

Gnomes and Goblins have no time for middling technologies. They have to go right to the extremes.

I think there were flying machines and vehicles powered by pedaling in the Warcraft universe, but I don’t think I can come up with exact examples.

OH YEAH. No no you’re right, the zepplins had those goblin women bicycling them LOL

we have motorcycles. that is a bike

Since there are enough reasonably advanced mechanical things around to imply that bicycles wouldn’t be difficult to create, I think they’d be a pretty plausible thing to see in cities. Unlike a living mount, they don’t need food or any special living space, and unlike a motorcycle, they don’t have fuel costs. I guess their prevalence would depend on how expensive they are, and I can’t really tell how expensive anything is supposed to be in WoW, but I could imagine, say, bicycle-mounted messengers in Stormwind.

Would be cool to see them used by normie NPCs like flower seller, an herbalist, etc etc…

was just thinking the other day about Azeroth tech and about how we have radios/communicators in Warcraft and giant cameras and can’t get my brain off the idea of Azeroth cell phones being this:

My warlock invented bicycles, but he patented them as “Diecycles.”

They had laser guided death rockets and handle bar mounted Anti-Alliance Artillery cannons and Fel-fusion Blast Boosters.

By any chance was a Shark riding this Diecycle?

It seems logical, given as pointed out, motorbikes are the next logical step.

With the popularity of horses still, they may be treated more as a novelty. Imagine actually needing to work out when you can take your elekk to the old town road.

Its the same thing as how rifles seem to be portrayed as flintlockes/blunderbusses, yet we have models that clearly portray bolt actions, lever actions, magazine fed, and mounted full auto weapons.

No. That’s just silly.

The genetically enhanced kill-skarks are mounted on the wings of the mobile areal murder platform aslso called a “Dieplane.”

Ah yes, that makes sense. Sorry friend.

Motorbikes were made by goblins and gnomes. Skipped a step? Yeah maybe. But that’s because neither race has time for non mechanical prototypes.

Just make the motor, attach it to a thing, and measure how well it works before it explodes.

This is the way

No worries. The names are similar. It’s an easy mistake to make.

Do they use Murlocs as test dummies as well as live crash dummies?

That’s kind of what I was thinking. Like our technology in this game is all over the place.

That’s why I really don’t consider anything completely off the table. There’s no logical feat that can’t be accomplished with science, alchemy, or magic… or any and all combinations there of.
