I played in Vanilla and each realm had a healthy and unique community. But as soon xrealm happened, we did face queues of 60 minutes+. Maybe the 30 minutes now, are an indication that the same can happen again, but this time to the Horde players.
Realms should have had a lock, if one side had too many players, so that no faction would dominate the other. I doubt there is much that can be done now, it´s too late I guess.
I have chars on both sides on all realm types, I can pick and choose, but right now I love my UD chars and can´t pvp with them, while on ally side, the community is very immature and no fun either.
Do the quest for the AV trinket, upgrade it as you level you rep- use it to teleport back to RH. Voila! PvP, HKs, all that jazz.
Finding pvp in AV isn’t hard- it’s actually pretty easy. Anyone complaining about not finding it is actively avoiding it.
Little too late to be noticing that Horde- we told you in phase 2, we told you the consequences- you didn’t listen, now you get queues. The nice thing is- they keep getting worse and worse for Horde.
I can only imagine how much pvp horde will be able to see 6 months in the future.
I get horde are all saying if queue times get really bad, which they will, they will go into open world pvp much like phase 2 pre BGs. But open server transfers are a thing now so at that rate wpvp for them will likely die out too. Horde will be the pve faction with no minority faction on the server and massive BG queue times.
This is the issue with the game being too casual. Everyone gets lvl 60 gets all dungeon gear and just logs onto raid. Pvp is not fun for pve style players. Old av was much better for pvers.
Question is if no bgs and honor enable from the start would the servers be healther. I was having lots of fun wpvping on my balanced server. Bgs just makes pvp a grind now. Gy 30 sec rezzing is just boring pvp.
I remember always looking for another mmo during vanilla droughts. Eso was the first game that had better pvp then wow. It took me away from wow for a long time.
This version of AV was added very near the end of vanilla. For the vast majority of vanilla AV was terrible honor per hour and was only played for fun / rep.
Yeah ive seen some pretty degenerate gameplay by premades on OC servers that is quite disheartening. In order to get max honor per minute theyve used some really gross tactics. The minmaxing for honor is pretty bad. It killed off SS vs TM and now its killed WSG pretty much. AV is “alive and well” but damn can it be a really really lame experience in some of them. And im not talking about losing, losing is fine (if u cant accept losing u shuldnt play pvp really) if u get beaten. The alliance zerg tactics are way more better than what ive seen happening with some of these premades. At least with the zerg tactic we were going for the win. Now premades are not going for the win, not going for HK but just purely for honor, letting the other side win as quickly as possible just so to keep the bgs rolling is pretty disheartening. And whats the worst thing about it is that it works for ranking.
Yea i know BGs are terrible… Getting to actually play the game rather than be 40 verse 1 killed for almost 0 honor was really great and we all totally miss it…
If you care about rank then your already stupid to begin with. Or at least in the bunch of who cares. People who only do bgs for ranks are in for a bad time and going to realize what a lot of us have known for awhile. Imagine being so dumb you didn’t realize all of this upon picking up a 15 year old game lmfao. Especially when it became beyond obvious Horde overall out number Alliance.
2 factions. 1 choice per player. 2 pools of players to draw from for in game activities.
It’s left on the players. This system is always going to be like this. You can’t force players to play something they don’t want to play. The faction war and the segregation of the 2 players bases is the issue.
Blizz can’t fix that without forcing players, enticing them, or removingthe faction segregation.
We’ve seen this for 15 years. Their fix is warmode, connected realms, and sharding. With free epics and honor for allies to /pvp. What’s that say?
Classic was on the players. Old school style. Get in where you fit in. We should have been more concerned with factions balance. Instead of avoiding streamers and folks who don’t speak english.
Let’s not forget the hand streamers had in this either. Guiding many poor sheep onto pvp realms. Lambs to the slaughter…
I really don’t understand all the crying by Horde about imbalance issues. This was 100% Foresaw. YOU decided to roll on Horde for the “OP” Racials for PvP.
Don’t add to the problem and come and cry.
Don’t except everyone else to Reroll to Alliance for you.
If you want Faction imbalance to be lessened make change and Reroll to Alliance.
Every game is people queuing for AV and not actually playing the game
Or in my case, you actually play the game, cap an objective, and a group of neckbeards mass reports you and you get booted from the game and chat muted for a day
4 weeks ago every horde I ran into camping me at BRM was telling me to go to retail. I don’t feel bad for the horde having 20 minute queues at all. Hard to even blame blizzard for that, really you can only blame yourselves for such disgusting behavior.
