Seriously, the best practice for reaching Rank1 is to queue for AV games as a group… Run past the other faction and kill objectives/boss ASAP. Then do a few pre-made WSG to make sure you have enough HK’s for the week so the massive amount of AV Honor you got is counted…
People seriously fine with this?
On top of this as horde you can’t queue for AV unless you have a good Netflix show to watch or have something else interesting to do because of the Queue time.
I think we can all agree faction balance is a massive issue… From the way phase 2 made Alli unplayable and now Horde have 15-22 min queue’s to enter a single BG.
Blizzard has never given out balance numbers we have to get it from 3rd party web sites. Some of us play both factions, and would have preferred to have the choice in helping the minority faction.
I really don’t understand how Blizz can mess up their own 15 year old game, where private servers literally did a better job at just about everything.
You rolled horde, you knew servers would be imbalanced, as they always have been.
Now you complain about said imbalance.
I understand this sucks, but either roll alliance, or accept your position. You knew what you were getting into.
Sadly, there are a ton of raid-logging PvE hermits in this game that take joy in watching PvP burn. They could just keep their opinions to themselves or show a little objectivity in agreeing the system is broken and our one chance at Classic WoW should have the best version of everything - which includes PvP - but PvE-only players are incredibly toxic towards the entire PvP facet of the game… so yes, there are people fine with it, and that’s who they are.
I wouldn’t say “useless” 'cause Raiders and “PvPers”, obviously, don’t have time to farm for Mats, so I do them the favor and do it, for them. I get Gold, so they don’t have to farm
I RP, but I don’t ERP. I don’t even hang out in Goldshire, especially as a Horde
Classic isn’t going to get changed or fixed. Its a marketting tool and the fact it has such glaring issues benefits Blizzard.
Now they can go “haha we were right you were wrong, Classic has issues, now come buy sparkling mounts and battle pets cause we won’t ever fix it to be what it could be”.
Pretty simple.
I didn’t but i followed the private server scene quite a bit and talked to a lot of people who did, AV being the prime way to farm honor never came up as a thing. Did some people reach high ranks back then with it through botting and such? Yes, because its guaranteed honor, win or lose. But it never was the only way to rank.
Well, it was the best way near the end of the classic lifecycles. I was there. Thankfully I was done by the time xrealms came out because the amount of honor required skyrocketed to rediculous levels, which is what we are seeing now.
Forgiven. I wouldn’t say I’m toxic against the “PvP” Community. I just don’t care for them, sorry. Aside from farming the Mats, they need 'cause how people use the Mats, is none of my business. I’m just here to farm and RP
I wanted to give you my opinion. For example I want to PvP, but as a druid tank who wants to tank rag and carry my guild I can’t afford to get PvP talents and have to hard commit to pve. The gear you are wearing now doesn’t come for free, pve players are the reason you are able to effectively PvP so calling them toxic is rude.
I think the reason there isn’t more backlash is because more people are into pve than pvp. If the pve system was set up so the fun stuff punished you, while you had to do something you can afk/fish through to get the best gear, everyone would be in an uproar. Classic pvp apparently isn’t going to exist, just have to wait for tbc.
Blizzard didn’t mess up anymore than they did the first time they made it. We the players have changed. Private servers had a lot more issues than people tend to remember… just like Vanilla. It was not official and anything was better than nothing so we remember them fondly for the things they got right. We don’t remember all the pathing issues and other bugs that existed for their entire up time. This Classic that we have is as good as we should hope for and will feel a lot better once we have Phase 6 which this version was tuned around.
We get plenty of HKs from the horde trying to defend. Meanwhile the Horde gets free rein in Dun Baldur and can’t manage the kill our general. At the end of the day, AV is won by killing the enemy general, not the other faction.
The Horde created this problem in phase 2, and are making it worse by turtling.
Horde has always been the more PvP focused faction. Horde queues have always been longer. This isn’t news or surprising to anyone paying attention. This is one of the reasons I switched to alliance for Classic.
