BG's for Reputation in lieu of Honor

I’m often finding myself struggling to decide what to do for the day with the 3-4 hours I play daily due to long horde queue times for BG to farm honor gear to pvp with then do the necessary dungeon grinds for reputation. I raid for pve gear that is BiS for pvp depending on your class. I don’t like pve, but it’s just something that I have to do and I need to farm reputation to get attuned to raids.

Why not implement an option that you can change as many times as you would like where you can choose to get 0 honor in your bg/winning your bg (but still receive tokens) and in lieu of getting honor you can choose your reputation of choice (i.e. Thrallmar/Honor Hold)?

Community - Please give any input if this is a terribad idea or any alterations to the suggestion.

You don’t need to PvP to do any PvE content. You can just grind dungeons for rep and get the attunement for raids.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to give PvE faction rep for PvP gameplay. I’m not sure why you even want this feature since you said you don’t like to PvP.

You do get rep from BGs. Each BG has a corresponding rep.

BG have their own reps already. If you want PvE rep then you…wait for it…do pve. :open_mouth:

id support updated rewards for the BG reps. maybe get a legendary weapon if you have all BG reps exalted.

Ahh I see, in that case I understand how you feel as I also don’t enjoy PvE all that much mainly because you have to do the same instance several times before you can actually get the piece of gear you want to drop and then you have to roll against teammates for it; not fun.

To me, gearing in this game is very broken. For PvP IMO resilience shouldn’t exist so then people who do arenas don’t just stomp on everyone who doesn’t do arena’s or at least make it so people who do arena’s cannot use that gear outside of arenas. Currently with resilience PvP is very gear > skill based

For PvE, as I mentioned above it’s too grindy to get the gear you want and often times by the time you get it a new patch/expansion comes out and you have to get a new set of gear, giving you the feeling of running on a hamster wheel.

And yet after the next patch if you want to PvP you… wait for it… get revered with all the dungeon factions. Wait what?

If you pvp you already have arena season1 gear and the blue set.

Putting the blue set on vendors is for pve’rs who want to dabble, or alts.

On a good day of doing X-Server Alliance BG with instant queues 95%+ win rate for 8+ hours. I got I believe 12k in a day. If that’s the case you cannot have an alt that you regularly play as it would take you quite a bit of time to farm all that honor gear especially if you’re a lock.
