All it takes is a 1 or 2 bad actors to ruin an entire game. I really love this game mode, but the win traders just ruin it for me and things would be better if everyone played fair.
I’ve been in like 20 games with you this week and I don’t think we saw a a single case of wintrading…
It would be FAR better if people didnt throw the game after losing 1 flag or wiping.
The game counts and most likely you lost rating because other 2-3 people decided to give up.
Just because you don’t see it, it doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
Your character also looks like it has a blindfold over his eyes.
I’m like 80% sure that you and several other people are the forums are just pulling a really long elaborate Ken M style prank on the rest of the forums but that other 20% really is driving me insane lmfao.
Also he does have a blindfold over his eyes because magic fire eyes or something idk
Last night I was in a BGB where the entire BG accused a rogue of win trading because he let the other team insta cap the flag. That rogue had his entire check PvP blocked, but some people knew who he was.
It happens, brother. The question is how often, and I think it happens enough to really put a stain on the bracket.
Agreed OP! But what can players do if Blizzard does not enforce their own rules?
Here is your patch full of glitches and bugs, now buy this mount for 90 bucks. Players vote with their wallets, so long as players throw money at Blizz, their numbers say the players are happy so we get more of the same lol. All of pvp is an RMT hellscape with no sign of change. PvE side by far is the majority of the game, I hear they are having trouble there too. You know when the PvE side is not doing well, game is in bad trouble lol.
I bet that mount makes more money than the expansion did.
Of all the blitz I played across multiple toons I’ve seen exactly 1 instance of someone throwing a game. It may have been win trading, but only the tin foil hat enthusiast sees it as guaranteed 100% win trading. It could also just be someone tanking rating, salty at his team for not doing exactly what he says at the start of a BG, salty from a prior BG or just generally trolling. But nope, guaranteed 100% win trading without a doubt.
It’s also worth noting that win trading isn’t happening to 95% of the player base, it’s happening at the very top of the ladder but someone at 1600 reads this post and all the sudden they, too, are now seeing win trading in 1600 games every single game because someone goes to a neutral tower in EOTS or heals 1/10th another healer.
Yes, we get it, everyone takes everything to an extreme and counts it as fact.
Biltz cannot be fun ever
you have very little control over winning or losing in BGB. You have to just play your best and hope others do the same.
Ive had 0-15 slides, followed by 15-0 win streaks. mmr hell is anything between 1500-2k because you will get people who have no idea what to do in those ranges on a regular basis, making it very prone to wild MMR swings for any given character.
There is no difference between BGB and Random BGS really. You just win or lose based on random rng and your specific gameplay has very little to do with it except that maybe you allow your team to play like morons and still win.
as far as win trading / stacking teams. thats all kind of rng. I do know people will grab 2 healers and 2 dps and q at the same time, if they pop at the same time they enter. if they are split across teams they determine which one will win/lose, if they are on the same team they go for the win. I had a recent ToK game where both one healer did so little healing that my hunter out healed him across the bg. I played with that same healer a few games later and he was top healing by miles. Coincidently when i looked, the opposing healer that beat us previously was now on my team.
thats said that would be my only experience, its more common that people just get toxic and stop playing out of spite than anything.
male elf alert
Just did a BG with obvious trolls throwing
WoW pvp is not a big Esport, so what financial incentive is there for rank 1??? OHH, working for websites, partnered on twitch etc… People play wow pvp as their full time job for a living these days.
Dozens of websites would not exist if they were not making cash, just sayin…
I ask why is blizzard ignoring this? Then again I see the Patch that just released all the bugs and problems, then an expensive new mount on the shop and realize ohhh yeah, thats why lol.
LoL, this is WoW, where gear level matters more than skill level.
There’s a lot of “illegal” sites selling BGB rating and PVP seasonal progression for real money or a ton of gold. How are they doing it? Exactly how the OP described.
Yup I saw it happen a few times yesterday.
It also could just be bots blizz placed there to fill the slots
I haven’t seen win trading personally, but what I have seen is multiple instances of R1 players abusing the knockback exploit to knock you through the ground when they were losing the game.
Yup. Plenty of really high MMR games have tons of duos selling boost. I have no idea what Blizz was thinking when they added duo to blitz.
Or evokers blatantly flying me to the ledge of lumbermill making me mount all the way up.
I am about to buy a bunch of Doritoes and Mt Dew processed food junk, just for the codes and give it all away, or dumpster lol. Just for the Jonny Blaze Hellrider mount lol. Past I bought no telling how many TCG cards just for the mounts, then threw cards away lol.
I refuse to give one penny to the RMT boosters, because they are the cancer thats killing pvp. They literally run off the player base creating dead pvp seasons… And Blizzard is not stopping them! If the RMT folks were helping the game, making it better I would be a huge fan.
All the big wigs are too dense in the head to realize that a huge player base is great for the game, and them. Thats more players to watch their streams, sub and donate etc… And for Blizzard why sell some dino mount when you can sell ten times more lol.
