Its also not including corruptions and potions, along with any other unique gear effects. The gap is much worse now then it was in WoD, and I remember clearly cause I pvped a lot at max on my rogue in conquest gear. PvE gear was generally nerfed severely in bgs, with the max Ilvl for them being capped and trinkets balanced out barring few exceptions.

It really isn’t much bigger now though. Ilvl wise it’s a bigger gap yes, but scaling has improved. Fresh toons then were just as vulnerable as now.

Scaling has improved, but it still doesn’t really matter when people are either invincible/do a ton of damage and/or heals with gushing, versatility, and twilight devastation. They were vulnerable, but they stood much more of a chance then over now and could contribute. Now its like a level 100 vs a 120 when geared or not geared, you won’t stand a chance.

no they were not, you know a fresh character is like 80k hp now?

the scaling doesnt do nearly enough to help them. the gap was not 5-6X their hp in wod. lol at scaling

there was also scaling then too right? you could get to that point in the time it takes to get the cloak now. that grind sucks for people that just want to pvp

You can even buy Benthic 390 set pretty easy before even stepping into a BG

Tuesday went okay for the most part horde didn’t have the undergeareds so won most of them

Wednesday was the total opposite had so many people in the 30-60k range lost most games

thursday went very good same as tuesday no undergeareds only lost 1 game that day

That requires a fair bit of nazjatar farming. Which is the worst. 390 is still useless. So farming boring content to be useless? Hard pass.

Opening Najzatar gets you a 370 weapon
 the cloak quest gets you a couple of 430 azerite pieces and 440 wrists
 and the cloak
 2K in the AH for a darkmoon trinket
 WQ’s are going to fill in some 400-420 pieces. It’s not hard to get 400+ – even 430 – within a week of dinging. People are making a hard pass on even trying.

Yup you probably should do this as a minimum. Still though, it’s pve.

It’s a lot more on my server. Everything is 5-6k. I don’t advocate anyone buying any unless they want to. I’d rather pay for my sub.

Unless it’s an emissary it won’t. Half the time it’s a repeat of what you already have. I don’t waste time with these.

It’s a week of garbage pve all to still be useless? Why? Sounds really incentivizing to do. Or you could just get into PvP because that’s actually fun and earn 445s.

Stop chasing away pvpers and stop feeding into blizzards absolutely stupid pve metrics. You better believe they pay themselves on the back Everytime a pvper helps a turtle to bloody water. Give your flak to the people who actually deserve it., Blizzard and it’s garbage PvP gearing.

I guess I’m glad I’m not in the same games that you’re experiencing, because I’ve noticed the opposite. There are a lot more geared and skilled Alliance queuing right now, even on the maps like AV that are usually a loss for us. We even won a Wintergrasp as the attacker this morning after losing Sunken Ring and Eastpark right away at the start, something that I have not seen since they made it a battleground.

You’ve really got a bad attitude. It really isn’t that hard to become minimally useful in terms of gearing for pvp. You are not going to skip to 445s without some effort. Stop chasing away people who would like to pvp but don’t want to carry those that are lazy and don’t even try

400ilvl isn’t even close to minimally useful.

445 is the base lvl of PvP gear. It should be way easier to get but there’s no reason not to just go out there and earn it via PvP.

I have no problem with them. I want everyone to PvP. I don’t want people to do content they don’t want to. If you’re concerned about carrying people there is this awesome feature blizzard already put in the game. It’s called rated, and you can require whatever ilvl you want and never carry anyone every again.

Stop giving blizzard any slack on this crap and stop feeding their bull crap metrics man.

Like I said, number wise was not as bad. Damage wise, it was. A full CP geared player could 1-2 shot a fresh 100 like now.
