So I’ve mathed it out at this point and given I have a 9-5 job and a wife that at least gets some attention, I will complete my set within about 7.5 weeks if I do nothing but play wow over the weekends for 12 hours a day and 4 hours a day after work at about 500 honor per hour (1bg per hour, can take 10-30 minutes to complete and up to an hour wait time ballpark).
Two entire months. Playing as much as I can and sparing time only for work and dinner. Doing no PvE. No other thing other than qing for bgs. Not even raiding. On 44 hours per week of gaming.
IF IM WINNING EVERY SINGLE GAME.
THIS HAS TO BE ADDRESSED.

Data reference
500/hr I just got on AV weekend.
98k for epic off pieces
86k for prepatch blue set honor pieces
Call it 150k to account for the accumulation of a couple arena pieces early on from conquest points to make it a conservative estimate.
44hrs a week being a sloppy yet functional adult (hello fanbase)
-----------SOLUTION POOL----------
Reputation blue pvp set
Mercenary mode
Boosted honor gains
Faction transfer - free

Hey guys it sucks that you have to wait in queue, meanwhile I’ve been trying to do the eots daily for 5 hours and haven’t won yet.
The good and the bad. Wait in queue or lose 90% of matchs. Unless you premade ofc

I would be happy with higher honor gains or anything that fixes this.
Typical responses you may get…
You knew what you were getting yourself into by rolling horde.
Reroll or quit
Go to retail
Something something cake something something eating it too
Something about horde racials
Streamers told all pvpers to roll horde
It’s your fault
Something about making your bed
Did I miss anything?
Yes, something needs to be done I agree.

Support. I don’t know who the hell thinks that this is acceptable. What’s funny is that alliance are mostly losing so it will take them weeks to gear as well. And I mean 4+ weeks if you have a job.
I spent all weekend playing like 10AM-2AM for two days and got 20k honor during AV Weekend. The best honor in the game; winning most games.
And I queued as much as possible during that window. Didn’t miss a single queue. Ate, showered, worked out, all during queue. I played 40 hours ish and had 1 piece of gear plus 5k honor left.
I don’t know why but my post above got removed so I’m reposting.

I have a job, I don’t have time to do the entire process over and I’ve already sunk time into this grind.
Focus more on arena and karazhan gear and you will make a much better use of your time. The honor gear isn’t good.

Like you pro-actively re-rolling to the less represented faction. Glad we agree.

So in other words you are not willing to do anything, you only want blizzard to do something. Got it.

It’s not my business to run but I know where 54% of the paying customers stand.

You have to do it again at the start of each season too.
Retail is a better fit for people that do not have the ability to no life WoW.
Blizzard never promised anyone equal footing in arenas.
Original TBC did not have some magical balance button where everyone got what they wanted playing the game casually.
I do not know where you people got the idea that you are entitled to a full BG set.
WoW PvP is not balanced. Stop trying to be something you aren’t in the game.

I’m gonna quote myself and copy the exact same post I did in another thread:
I had a paladin and a warlock thorough TBC. I had full S1, S2 and S3 stuff on them.
Based on the current calculation that means I played 400 hours per character, per season, for 4 seasons, meaning 800 hours over on an average of 20 weeks? I don’t recall playing 40 hours a week doing only PVP.
On top on having my pvp items I was able to run heroics and raid and doing A LOT of arenas. I was also working part-time and attended school.
Something is wrong with the current honor calculation and I’m pretty sure we are only receiving a tiny fraction of what we are supposed to get.
The more Blizzard wait to fix this the more it discourage people from playing TBCC.
It almost feels like they want to sabotage TBCC so people go to 9.1

No one is going to play retail. We will go back our tbc servers elsewhere.
You’re out of your mind spouting all of this hot garbage off, lol.
You act like there’s two options when there are a multitude and time and time again, blizzard has lost money because they choose not to act and other businesses reap the profits of their follies.

Typical Horde player response you will get.
“I am Horde and the game must cater to me and my faction ONLY!. I know I picked the faction with the highest population of PvPers, but that is not my fault, it’s Blizzard’s, now fix it.”
“Oh, and anything anyone says against this is a Troll”
I think that about sums up your entire position.
BTW… It’s your fault!

Thanks for the bump on our threads, we needed it.
Then go back to pservers where they give you a full set for free and stop trying to change the game.
Holy hell.
Save yourself 15 bucks a month.
Time and time again Blizzard has failed to act, and lost money over it.
For over a decade.
It’s almost like you aren’t as special as you think you are.

I’m pretty sure we will continue trying to change the game even though you made this forum post here, too bad.

LOL, oh you are so cute! Was that the best response you could come up with. Oh sweetie, you have so much to learn about these forums.
You guys act like private servers don’t exist and blizzard knows they do.
I spent YEARS playing tbc before classic even came out. If they want to repeat mistakes in different ways, fine by me, but there are so many options out there still that are alive and well.
While we’d like to pay for the official game, we have jobs and sure, I get there’s a grind, but not a 600 hour grind. That’s absolutely ridicukous.
