It depends on how important it is to you. If its important enough for you to screech and throw a temper tantrum, throw toys across the room and threaten to quit…
Yes. Abandon guilds and friends, spend weeks leveling an entirely new character from fresh.
Blizzard is not going to respond or touch this issue, we had classic for almost 2 full years with the same issues and nothing was done about it rightfully so, on top of that this issue will only get worse for horde as phase 2 comes and when the few pvper’s on alliance stop queue for BG to only do it it casually.
Ion Hazzikostas has already come out on an interview and mention this is a community issue that needs to be resolved by the community, so each time you see an alliance avatar telling you to re-roll alliance it is a pvper telling you we need more help on our side, but you people keep telling us we are just trolling.
So be it then, enjoy your queues they will only get longer once phase 2 rolls around.
Lol, no just cause you state something is a ‘’‘fact’‘’ doesn’t mean it is ‘true’ take this ‘’‘logic’‘’ you are using were the conclusion would lead to the worst win trading in the history of the game with merc mode and just farm herbs while cueing rather than insist a game which is made to not give you easy epics and gear, find some way of giving easy epics and gear.
Man im right there with you, alliance is just crying because they have one thing that is better than horde and they will keep saying it will brake the game if you add merc mode or its not lore wise it will brake my immersion 100%.
Its just silly, the queue times are un resendable, should not matter what faction you picked.
Let arena Give Honor
If no merc mode, then let the horde queue against other horde members (same with alliance)
Yes its a player made problem, but blizz has shown they can fix player made problems for the better (chrono boom).
No the statement was about how the fact of bleedinging subs the op posted wasn’t actually happening and the idea of merc mode would enable win trading for epics and gear, for example the op was really dumb in the post paying only attention to the cue times and not the externalities that would come for allowing one faction to in essence throw games to give the pvp epics that are given.
If we assume cue times on horde are an actual issue and we assume it should be addressed in some way we need to think how merc mode/increased honor, badge gains/expanded pvp week would need to be able to think not about how the community would react to said changes as the community might optimize the fun out of the game and while a buff to honor wouldn’t be as optimizable as others what tbc classic players and the community would do if it is added needs to be analyzed. What the people have concluded is that it would result in win trading and blacklisting of people if they refused to throw the match, etc.
2 would lead to win trading while 1 might be more probable. We might need to wait for s1 epics to be buyable with honor which is when we saw one of the heights of pvp engagement. The other time was the prepatch when people thought they could get r12-14 gear in two weeks.
There is one solution to pvp engagement which I keep forgetting to bring up and is the solution is debated and hated by the no changes crowd in vanilla. Achievements in tbc, many people myself included are achievement chasers and view a blank achievement as a challenge. If there were achievements there would logically be pvp achievements, which would bring in the achievement hunters into battlegrounds. They might be a little loonie and at times overextend for the 2000-0/2000-1990 score achievements but id take them over the afk honor farmers.
#1 is a fine idea but #2 is just rebranded Merc Mode. Merc mode or anything of the sort would murder the soul of this game, break the lore, and break the immersion. I know that doesn’t matter to you, but it’s part of the game and matters to many. In fact, lore is a bigger part of this game than the minuscule fraction of the game you are obsessing over (BGs).
Why not just use your boost on an alliance alt if BG queues are seriously this big of a deal for you and you absolutely cannot wait in a line.
Its not minuscule do, its literally half the game. For a large number of people its more than half the game. Its like if the one thing you enjoyed the most in the game you had to wait 1 hr every time to do it. I wont spend money on a boosted character, i like the one im playing, but im getting gate keep to play what i enjoy. It wont brake the lore, it wont brake the immersion, because you (Alliance) will not see you will still have fast queues.
I have plenty of horde characters as well. Its not just Alliance players who think this will break the immersion. Why not just go play Shadowlands if this means so much to you??? Why must you try to burn the Classic Project to the ground for your own selfish desires?
(1) reroll alliance/play an alliance alt
(2) use a boost
(3) deal with the plights of playing the popular faction (i.e. lines)
(4) play shadowlands
(5) encourage other horde players to try alliance
I was a horde main through Classic and rerolled alliance to alleviate the problems associated with playing the ultra-populae FOTM bandwagon faction. You can too.
I dont think honor in arena would kill the game. I even think H to A faction transfers would be fine. But merc mode goes too far!
I just dont understand you. You specifically choose to play a niche classic/retro version of a game thats made for nostalgic enthusiasts. Yet you advocate for Retail/Modern features to be implemented. … for a “problem” that you are actively causing and compounding with your refusal to do anything to help balance out the factions.
All this time you could just go play retail, and all the Quality of Life features you desire will be there. Why torture yourself here? Just go play the game blizzard specifically designed and markets towards you, Shadowlands??
Big no from me for Merc mode. BG que times are an issue but I feel like Merc mode is not a solution but will create more problems. If they do add Merc mode, for someone like me who is only playing TBC for pvp. I will reroll horde.
It is a player made issue and I dont think Blizz will do anything about it.
Even if they try to fix it, the only solution will be Horde to Ally Transfers.
you know those people in america who feel that there decisions should not have consequences because they didnt anticipate it so they want the government to come save them. These are those ppl.
