the players backfilling into a losing game also tend to afk out and the cycle continues.

already addressed this numerous times.

imagine defending not having a backbone.
nobody is owed a win just because you pay a subscription. if the game is too hard for you stop playing it.

if people are not having fun -they leave!- if not winnable, they afk, if is boring, good bye! nothing to do with “the game is to hard”, in fact the only person who think that, are the people who only have play this only game on his entire live.

While I may agree that people should not be leaving matches generally speaking, I do find it ironic whenever a queue sync premader says “nobody is owed a win”.

Again, ban syncers. Then make the punishment so severe for leaving no one will do it.

If someone leaves a rated match, the match should end, and the opposing team should be granted their mmr from the person who left, and the remaining 7 stay unchanged.

I would accept 2-day ban for leaving bg early if queue sync is not allowed. Otherwise, I will leave without any hesitation.

Even if Blizz accepts your proposal, I will still leave if it’s a pug vs a 25-man premade. After all, you don’t have anything to hold over me. There are tons of games to play, I don’t have to stick with WoW.

I’ve only just started playing wow again after some irl commitments.

My first BG today and it was against a stacked 5-man Premade, 2 designated healers, 3 DPS, all BiS, gemmed and enchanted.

We didn’t have a Premade on our team. Getting stomped (duh)

You think I am going to waste my time in that BG ? No thanks.

I left and currently queued on another char.

Fix the game and its matchmaking first before punishing players for not wanting to play an unfair game.
