Also, these people are probably the same ones that didn’t have a problem with Activision sinking their claws into Blizzard. Mergers, acquisitions, absorption and anything else along these lines practically never pans out.

I tried saying that but that sub forum is full of Blizzard worshippers. At first, I thought the person who said it was joking but then when people were agreeing, I was like o_O. Doing a little digging, I find out that they’re the same people who white knight Blizzard in every thread.

Yes, I forgot all about that. That reminded me of a SS I took a long time ago where I even asked a GM to tell me a funny joke.

I did this once too and even asked to speak to a Supervisor. It’s sad that it devolved into that.

White Knights for Blizzard? lawl.

We need an official White Knight for our purposes, who has Tseric on their battle.net list?

We want larger physical servers, no clouding/phasing/layering/zoning/crossing/any of that garbage.

They auctioned off the old server blades. It was kinda cool actually. All the proceeds went to Saint Jude. You know how I support Saint Jude. How could I fault it?

I kid you not. The official WoW forums never ceases to astound me at the things some people say.

I get the feeling they have been recoding the whole game to not work with physical hardware. Say hi to cloud based everything it is here to stay with your lag.

Oh wow it’s so nice they used a real charity for that one. That makes me happy.

Whow, that’s actually very cool.

-pops cynicism-

Auctions off old systems for a charity, simultaneously accomplishing removing them and scoring marketing/public relations points.

-cynicism wears off-

At least it was St. Jude and not one of those trendy charities.

Whatever the reason, I’m fine with it. Saint Jude is one of the most worthwhile charities out there imo.

If anyone does a lot of Amazon ordering, you can set up a charity account, and it gives a small bit on every order to your charity of choice. It’s very nice and a convenient way to help out.

And now for something completely off topic …

I’m going away for almost a month, no WoW for a while. Going to try something I’ve never done and am not sure I’ll like, a “tour”, a vacation where someone else makes the schedule.
Sort of stuck with the lack of flexibility because it’s on a boat.

In 2000 I was sent to set up systems for our booth at a trade show in Düsseldorf (Drupa, printing/pre-press industry show). I got rail passes and my wife and youngest daughter flew over and met me in Frankfurt after the show and we spent some time vacationing in Germany, I was raised an Army brat and lived in Nürnberg (technically I lived in Fürth) when I was 12 to 15 years old, later I was stationed in Berlin when I was in the Army.

While we were there, I found out that a canal has been built connecting the Rhine to the Danube.
This means you can take a boat trip from the North Sea to the Black sea. I immediately told my wife we should see if anyone actually offered such a trip, she immediately informed me we couldn’t afford such a trip, couldn’t really afford the one we were on.

Upon arriving home and checking our held mail we had a brochure from Cornell (my wife’s alma mater) advertising that very trip. As this was obviously a sign from the fates, I said we should go. Upon reading the prices my wife said we could not unless we won the lottery that week. Then we won the lottery that week. All of a sudden “win the lottery” was “win the jackpot in the lottery” and in spite of her previous promise she refused to recognize our $15.00 prize as fulfilling the condition.

To break the impasse, I decided to consult a lottery expert for a third opinion. I explained the whole situation to the Haitian woman who sold the lottery tickets at the Seven Eleven and she said we should go. My wife still said we couldn’t afford it (and we really couldn’t back then).

Nineteen years later now and we have reservations on a Viking Tours boat from Budapest to Amsterdam, still doesn’t really fit in a conservative budget but doable now, so we’re going.

??

All I see is the last fish left at the fish market. The eyes are knda cloudy so I can see why.

If you’re expecting sacking and pillaging you can forget it. Vikings haven’t done that in a thousand years. Try to find some fun in it though :anchor:

It’s being kept on ice, so it should be fresh.

You mean, I’ve been scammed by false advertising? :astonished:

The only thing they sack and pillage these days are jars of pickled herring.

I need help from my bg forum fam.

I have two characters I’m between - unhdk and ret.

Both are 115 or 116.

Both are fun, I enjoy the defensive capabilities of both, 1v1 capabilities, and the overall damage in bgs.

Ret obviously has more group utility, but unholy fits my satanic personality more.

I like the bursts nature of ret, but apoc is pretty fun too and necrotic strike is hilarious.

I’m equally torn on both. I’m enjoying them both alternating in bgs but I really don’t have time to level and gear both even semi competitively.

I’m so torn I ended up making a DID hunter to crap on 20s bgs and was fun as hell (3 bgs in, 45 kbs 3 deaths lol).

I’m so desperate I made this lunatic toon last night out of boredom…

Haven’t started up my ret this xpac. She’s horde and haven’t done anything horde yet. I do have my unholy at @116 so I can’t compare the two as far as playing.

I’d prefer to face off against a uh over a ret though. I have a better chance of winning or escaping against a uh oddly enough. And even if I lose against the dk, at least he has to go off at around half health, the ret can go back to 100 in a sec.

Thanks. So one vote for ret.

Do you see yourself using that utility often on your group, or saving all of it for yourself? If sharing, go ret. If you don’t really think you’ll use the support, I’d go UH. If you have a ranked itch UH will get you in imo.

So JD and I run twos a lot (would probably run 3s if we had a healer).

He’s playing dh.

In 2s, either is fine, though ret has them off heals which is nice.

I do like using the group utility and burst of ret. just hate the horde races (and too lazy to unlock zandalari).

The dk feels a little less wheelchair than ret when slowed, what with the ghoul and some ranged abilities.

I’m like 55-45 ret-unholy. Though I was like the opposite two days ago…

F it, I’ll just play my dark iron hunter.
