BG Bots are out of control

Every single BG has atleast one obvious bot. The gear scores are sub 2500 and they follow the same preset paths. EotS has bots streaming across the bridges to their death over and over. The AB bots constant run to BS. In AV they simply run north. My last AV had 13 obvious bots. No active bot detection is the most greedy move blizzard continues to make. Ban waves only go out when the subscription numbers need a bump. The state of wrath BG’s is abysmal and it doesn’t hurt blizzard. Every bot is another subscription, and they’ve deemed it not worth fixing.

absolutely true there’s a ton of these threads but none of them get listened too.
Is the pay check bigger with the bots? Yes? Lets pretend we don’t see them.

The community shifted towards GDKP acceptance, which creates all the demand for bots. Blizz should ban GDKPs but they wont, much like they won’t ban bots. Because they prefer short-term gains. Activision will just buy another company once all respect for Blizzard is gone.

The only way anything would change is if people stopped playing or started shaming GDKPs and the people who run/take part in them.

Don’t try to hijack this with your crusade. GDKP’s have nothing to do with blizzard doing nothing about bots. Also, Microsoft owns activision-blizz now… way to keep up.

GDKPs are the cause of the disease. Bots are a symptom. It’s not a hard concept.

So you think that the gaping holes in code and the massive lack of active bot detection on blizzards end is the fault of actual players using in game currency to acquire gear? That makes no sense. Are you a bot? Go make your own thread that others can ignore.

Agreed. It may be a difficult concept for some to grasp. I think you actually understand this though but don’t like it being pointed out that the GDKPs are the reason for the botting epidemic. I wonder why

Your replies are not on topic and I encourage you to make your own post. Please stop trying to derail this thread. We’re discussing what blizzard can and should be doing about bots and the current state of bots in BG’s. Again, I encourage you to make your own thread.

Are bots making copius amount of gold from bg weekends what am i missing here i figured their primary objective was to get it baseline pvp geared and sell it online.

No they don’t.

HUGE factor right here.
List all the positives you want about gdkp, the fact is - when you can buy bis with real money this is what you get.

You cannot place all the blame on gdkps tho.
It’s not their fault Blizz refuses to deal with bots.

:man_facepalming:

No, they don’t.

Had a WSG where I was one of two human players… this needs to be fixed

I believe, that with our current level of evidence that we can deduce that given the great number of bots, that Blizzard Entertainment is run by Robo-Sexuals.

That’s right, you heard it here first, they’re allowing the bot programs to flourish so that one day in the future advanced bots can satisfy their desire to become one with the machine, in more ways than one.

This may be the only logical explanation.

Looking for a recipe to eat that crow?

Maybe banning the bots goes against their social contract in terms of inclusiveness and diversity?

In the eyes of a Robo-Sexual, machines would be people too, equals in a way. You may be right.

There are some solutions here. Wow may not like them.

Eve has bots too. But we can shoot them. Even if the same side.

when its clear the dude is a bot…its time for some sanctioned team killing.

usually after they ring up a stream of losses they at least go bot somewhere else you aren’t at. this at least frees up the resources in the system for real players to use.

Now this would mean wow pvp would have to cut out slop AOE mechanics to pvp. Mages will have to stop dropping fire and ice from the skies as now they kill their own people. warriors will have to not spin to win next to friendlies.

I’d have that a good thing. I’ve deemed that sloppy pvp setup since I came here lol. ensure area clear of friendlies, then AOE. Not a hard concept.

Yea, they get pvp gear to farm in northrend more reliably. Then once they’ve farmed awhile they put the bot account up for sale, then fire up another, rinse repeat. The GDKPs pick up where the bot account being sold takes off.

yup. pathetic company. time to start botting myself
