I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this, however, whenever I play a blitz it feels as though most of my team is controlled by AI. They all seem to make the bare minimum gear requirements and hold a single task and W key it. No one is able to pivot from their initial plan or type in chat to communicate strategies. This makes it difficult to win anything and I am hard stuck at 1300… def butt hurt about it.
But I should say that I am a duelist level arena player. I also spam BG’s like a maniac, so I am well aware of how BG heroes typically act. In BG Blitz, however, the players feel different and I can’t quite put my finger on it.
Well, I have noticed one thing that kind of bugs me. I have been in blitz a few times where, the healer and I have held 6 out of the 8 players at one node without letting them cap, but somehow, the last 2 players that aren’t trying to cap the node we are at, end up capping the whole map against our other 5-6 players. I have seen this happen a few times and it really does perplex me. I mean, if you are even remotely trying, you could stop this from happening pretty easy, it is only 2 other players…vs 5-6. Anyway, probably just some kind of awareness issue. But when you mentioned AI, I thought, hmm… this could explain it too.
Don’t get baited into useless team fights to start with. That might be the biggest thing I see.
And yes, there are a lot of folks right now who are new to the mode, and the map changes take a few games to get the feel of. Some people are still playing like they are old style randoms.
I have found that using pings to communicate works better than chat anyway. Drop some attack pings on the EFC and people actually peel away from the teamfight sometimes. A ping macro is a lot faster than trying to type and fight, too.
This too. I was climbing on monk and priest and I started to see weird stuff. I’m not actually trying to get rating right now so if I shoot up to 1600 I drop out of two games.
There is just some wierd stuff I’m seeing. But I also can’t put my finger on it but I’ve played enough to know that four or five players on my team can’t be that bad. And I wonder if it’s only at 1600 and below ? I think my monk is 1700 cr right now but done playing him. Working on hpal
I’m not sure what’s with the mmr in blitz, it makes no sense. I went 8-0 on my druid to start this week, first games were at 1600+ and every win I dropped lower and lower. I ended at 1200 then I lost 3 games in an and randomly I was placed in a 2k game. I now have not dropped below 2k
It kind of felt like you need a certain cr to get out of placement games or something
This isn’t surprising. There are literal bots in BG blitz. I’ve kited 4+ of them from farm to the quarry node before when I was healing earlier in DF. You can test it yourself by running out to a certain distance. The bots will chase halfway to quarry then leash back to the flag but if you cross that halfway point and strafe back and forth you can glitch them
This makes sense. I’ve seen other things as well. Go to EoS and they just run straight to a tower even though, it is not the active one, they just sit there don’t move for the entire time the other tower is active. Then the tower they at finally goes active and it caps and they die from inc. rinse and repeat.
Gotta play early and play hard once season starts or you will forever be stuck with the bottom-feeders - bots, bad players and pve gamers ‘having a crack’
The climb out of 1600 will be awful if you are late to the season.
OMG the trash talking was on 3 min into a Warsong Gultch random BG once the enemy time scored once. 5 of my teammates were typing BOOKs to one another while 3 of us had most of the enemies GY farmed for several minutes. 2 enemies were camping the enemy flag room and VERY effective at killing any 2 of us that tried to FC.
Instead of SingTFU and pushing the enemy flagroom, the 5 continued to call eachother bad and un-accomplished in their pvp careers for the remaining duration of the match, taking the time to look eachother up on armory instead of proving their worth by capping a flag. I only metioned in chat that the enemy flag room was guarded by 2 enemies and efc locations but my pleas went ignored.
It wasn’t previously. Outside of the recent couple weeks when everything was reset, it took effort but climbing out was not more difficult.
I have both a pally and DK I finished leveling during remix, but on live, and they were both moving up fairly steadily, at the end of the season.
System also boosts your alts start MMR if you have toons already with a good rating. It seems to be at about 1800 MMR your alts will get their first games in a higher MMR game rather than than a low MMR game like most new toons.
I hate to be that guy but it really is. I miss when people were scared to join rated without looking up somethings first now its just trial by fire and its burning a ton of people.
they need to add a few things to stop people from entering in full greens without pvp talents equipped. I have seen a ton of people with no pvp talents and its basically over if they are a healer. the flak they receive from the people sitting long Qs is basically blizzards fault for having no safety net.
Ive seen a ton of people who have chat off also which is kinda of unacceptable for blitz
i see all sorts of silly stuff. they move/behave like terribly designed bots.
im gonna start recording funny clips of the stuff i see… like geeks walking backwards into a wall, or 10 people begging the mage in chat for time warp as he sits there spamming ice lance
