BG Ban wave. Blizzard needs to address this

this was in context of a player who was killed, spawned in the north, then tries to go back south (as an alliance player). but again, 0 damage is still 0 damage, anyone can claim they are defending a tower while afk.

right, you can assist and fight back. those players are not afk. the ones afk in towers don’t fight back.

Ive been banned before. suspended. ect ect. Had my chat turned off lol. I will tell you 1 offense is not what they take action on. Grossly repeated offenses are what get the action taken.

How many of your bans were 30 days bans on your first offense?

It has. 6 ppl go up one caps the others beat on the pve things.

People may say it was “my first offense” all the time. Its never the first offense, unless someone went full crazy screaming crazy stuff in chat.
All actions taken against me were legit for dumb stuff i did.

It’s cool you own up to it and I know it’s just my own word here but I did not actively afk or be inactive in a BG and was banned (reversed now)

The system is flawed and heavily needs to be looked into.

I’ve played since original TBC - almost 15 years now, and have never once received any suspension, or silence of any kind. This is the same case as many other posters above so yes, I do believe those that say this is a first-time thing because I’m also in that boat. 30 days is highly unjustified for this even if you were guilty.

How many people intentionally not playing had known that blizzard has often punished people for this but thought they could beat it by pretending to play by sitting at a bunker

Edit: because if it wasn’t for this mentality you’d only need one person defending and a handful of people bouncing between IB and SHB

Not like the strategy in AB is have 5 people sit at once base while the other is being attacked

Probably 75% of my games there are groups of people attempting to back cap. By your logic, you’d lose towers every single time if only “one person” should guard since you’d be sawrmed with little time to defend. And let’s be honest, not everyone is great about calling out incs. It’s a 40 man bg, there absolutely should be multiple people standing watch while you secure a point and isn’t the same as AB at all.

People getting banned for no reason, bots are doing well in dungeons, queues of multiple hours, man the game is going so well

sounds like you weren’t suspended or silenced because no one had had a reason to report you. as for the other “innocent” players, who knows. must have done something to agitate a group of players.

Where’s the proof it was their first?

1000 replies proves that blizzard doesn’t need to answer this lol

Idk. He said that he had been banned multiple times so I asked. I have been on this game for 11 years and have played alongside many a cheater, Rmter, botter, etc etc. None of them ever got first bans for 30 days. Especially accounts that have never had an actions taken against them in over a decade.

Yeah, I mean fair enough. At the end of the day, Blizz knows the real truth (in regards to past account suspensions) so you have to take what everyone says lightly.

It’s picking up activity that is actively used by “bad” people. Just dont appear that way, when im guarding a tower i help dps the archers down … run around … buff people … keep an eye out on people coming in and damage them as they come in. I have NEVER been banned and i almost ALWAYS defend.

Edit: I’ve had top heals in AV and all i did was defend a bunker … also done this defending SPgy til aide capped.

You should scroll up to the community councilmember post and see what blizz had to say about what is considered non participation. You can be actively playing the game and if the rest of your team doesn’t see it as a valid strategy, they can report you.

But where is the proof this is true … im not saying the possibility of it being true doesnt exist, but just because someone said something doesnt make it fact without evidence.

While this might be true, and I do believe it; we cannot prove this either way, but this askes the question were they who reviewed each action actually qualified and were they really doing their jobs correctly if some bans have already been overturned so soon?

I suspect this is a case of people just going though the motions, or ticking boxes to meet some kind of quota, or just phoning…

Ya know, people who’re not qualified, suck at their jobs, and also don’t want to be there.
