BG Ban wave. Blizzard needs to address this

every player in classic agreed to a social contract. this specific contract didn’t exist 11 years ago. the rules change, the punishments change.

My man. People have eyes. They can see groups coming and make call outs. Going to need to work on communicating before Cata release

Obviously it’ll never happen because there are people that AFK there and don’t pay attention. Less now, but still some.

Not sure, I don’t work for Blizzard.

exactly why we cannot say for sure that they actually have a real person review every ban.

We have their word saying that they do. And they’ve consistently said this for years. Why would you not believe it?

As someone thrilled with Blizzard taking action against actual degenerate players, having got a few wrong ones in a bad process, BGs are now noticeably different. Most of the culprits ruining BGs are banned.

People are now actively doing objectives, not sitting at a bunker with 8 people when a group is made for a back cap.

Maybe they did this on purpose as a plan to threaten people into actually playing

That unfortunately does not amount to anything. They can give their word all they like, but it means nothing.

To you maybe. Not all of us are as jaded and easily convinced by whatever the trending conspiracy theory is.

I disagree with you here.

It’s bad actors that are abusing the report system. When you’re leveling a DK as many have said you can barely damage the bowmen as is and if no back capping is done you end with nearly no damage/healing done.

I have probably over 1k games of AV on retail played across my account and have never been banned for inactivity etc. but since prepatch dropped and I’ve been playing it on classic I’m suddenly banned for a day then unbanned and apologized to???

The “I defend and wasn’t banned” isn’t a defense against people who did the same thing and were wrongfully banned.

The system is flawed. No previous bans or suspensions on my end and I know that I was active when I was in my AVs.

I am not easily convinced by Blizzard’s broken promises; sorry.

There is no conspiracy, its just the path of least resistance that people generally fall into; nothing special from them.

When you ignore the information we have from the only source we have, you start going down a slippery slope when no logical place to stop.

Why not keep going. Instead of saying their lying say the Russian government controls blizzard and is banning people they consider to be enemies of the state.

What broken promises? This just further proves to me you are jaded and are thinking emotionally about it.

It’s exactly what it is. You are told one thing, but you don’t believe that thing for “reasons” and instead resort to mental gymnastics to justify your jaded false narratives.

The information we can take at face value are the things that exist in real time, the things that we have in front of us to observe. Blizzard’s word are just that, just words, and they can make many promises and deliver on whatever they choose, but the only thing we can measure are the actions.

That was my point.

People believed all the accusations against Blizzard made by current and former employees, I didn’t see anyone claiming those people were lying. Not one of those employees who came out with accusations said anything about being forced by the company to lie to us daily on the forums.

If current and former employees haven’t said a word about being forced to tell lies, maybe it’s because they weren’t? Maybe when a CS employee like Vrakthris who has been with Blizzard for over 15 years says something, it’s the truth?

It’s not that people don’t believe Blizzard employees, it’s that they have confirmation bias and only believe what they want to believe.

the crappy thing is some of us are still waiting to hear back over 24 hours after our tickets.

In that case. We have video proof of GM‘s investigating players. Countless posts from blizzard saying no ban or suspension has ever been given out without a team member reviewing it.

What else do you need?

yeah i was hoping to be unbanned when i woke up today or atleast have to answer my appeal but sadly none have happened

Right there with you guys

Did not say they were telling lies, but that corp can change things after announcements are made. Does this make what the CM said a lie? no, it just means corp changes the rules after the fact often.

It’s hard to believe that when I get an email stating simply “after reviewing your appeal we determined we were wrong and have undone the ban”

So was it automation or human error to begin with? Regardless it’s a Blizzard problem.
