“We don’t use automated punishments. And we also thoroughly investigate each report before issuing penalties”
I would dare say they should also look into anyone who is abusing the report option in BGs. If someone is sitting in the cave just use the report away option and they’ll get the boot and deserter. It doesn’t seem healthy to have a massive obsession with reporting “afks” en masse since even before the ban wave I was still winning 50% of AVs anyways so to say its in competitive spirit is just lying to yourself.
This new layer of reporting seems a bit excessive especially with the amount of time behind the suspensions.
I have to agree with Asmongold on this one. Anyone who is openly and readily asking/telling others to report people leveling in BGs or just playing a DK should get a 6 month ban.
even the whole non participation goes out the window. Healers can get numbers before the gates open by healing buffed chars
100% this, I got gibbed on the way to SHB once and ended up back in the cave and got flagged afk before I could make it back, luckily I was able to Deathgrip a hapless boostie.
This is where a post from blizz would come in handy.
Do we need to appeal or not??
Imagine if blizz just said “Hey guys we are looking in to this hang tight. Expect XYZ and do XYZ for best results”
That’s huge grats. Think by not replying it’s super clear it was an accident. Skeram ppl know how to BG
Zero damage or healing is incredibly common when the current meta strat is two towers then kill drek/van if you are defending towers. It is completely hit/miss if the enemy team decides to back cap or not. I haven’t been banned, but a friend I play with was and we played 95% or more of our AV matches together. Our strat was rush IBT burn it asap, and defend. Once burned Go to tp or drek depending on timers. And then probably 70% of the time unless the game turned into a turtle the match would end before reaching drek. And I would say 40-50% of the games no one would come to back cap making your dmg/healing show nada, but that doesn’t mean you didn’t help.
Imagine if it they real life scenario matched what blizzard dead … you would see a ton more crime become non existent then you do know due to being light handed. I used to tell my kids all the time … give ya an inch take a mile … maybe it should be recipricol (sp?)
Don’t people love automated ban when they report people they hate on lfg?
ban is fine, they should ban people for breaking TOS. Just 31 days for first time offenders with no warning or previous history is way too much.
No it’s not. How do you get to a bunker without even touching an archer.
How after it’s capped do you not get to Van or try to back cap.
This hypothetical scenario could happen once to you if you’re really bad mechanically. Not multiple bgs.
Also they could give us deserters for 31 days so we can’t enter pvp, why ban from the game completely? Also can’t even play retail…the punishment does not fit the crime
What an ignorant post.
I’ve been leveling my DK in AV and haven’t been banned. I ride to Galv to help kill him and then sit in IBT until it burns. After that I go to TP if it hasn’t burned or straight to Drek if it has. Of course if I die at any point I’m sent all the way north and kind of screwed. At least this way I have numbers on the board and other people can see I’m trying to help despite being sub 70.
Where does it say the estimated time? I cant for the life of me find an estimate anywhere on my ticket.
Should be working at Blizzard. Would have been a win for everyone
Just curious. Why aren’t you leveling in much faster ways?
I’m guessing once they hit 70 they can buy a brutal glad weapon or something so it ends up being worth it to pvp to level
Any fresh 70 is going to farm pvp as its the fastest way to gear up. Now that battlegrounds grant EXP why not start the gear farm before you hit max level
