ok OK, here are my thoughts on people with no gear in battlegrounds: if you have crap gear and no other way to get better stuff, then do av. everyone in av will hate you for it but you can be carried in av. Don’t do eots, wsg, ab because in those battlegrounds undergeared players: never defend, never make call outs and are easily one shot. I say this from experience, I have witnessed those things many many times over the summer.

It’s actually hilarious, you keep saying this yet have demonstrated almost none of it. Your only “proof” was what Blizzard said and the word of users, yet when we point to users who were banned unfairly you say that doesn’t count and we can’t know that.
Data? Please, you’ve showed no data. Not a single number. Proof? If blizzard and the word of some other select users whose word you deem acceptable counts as proof, then that’s the only proof you’ve shown. Logic and critical thinking? You’ve not displayed any in this topic.
I swear, you are an english major, every single thread you love pointing to logical fallacies when you yourself are a chief offender.
You have no data. Not a number. You have no evidence, only the word of a company who has every reason to lie. That would be as ridiculous as me saying “but Trump said XYZ so that’s my evidence”. If you have logical or critical thought pertaining to the matter, you yet to convey it. It has all been “but Blizzard said”. I quoted those instances. If you’d like to point to any data, proof, logic, or critical thought that I’m missing that you’ve shared in this thread, you’re free to quote it.

People are appealing and are getting denied because the whole system is automated.
This sucks really hard. Two of my guildies got banned for AV non-participation when they were in games with me always active. It is flagrantly not working correctly and all of it needs to be overturned.

I do think that they may have falsely flagged a lot of accounts here and it was all a mistake. I do NOT think they intentionally banned people to make more money conspiracy theorist crap.

My guy, if you think each and every single person who was banned today in the wave was watched, you haven’t been paying attention to blizzard a whole the last few years.

If that was the situation and they had no other way, I don’t think anyone would care.
The really people don’t like them, and is obviously not a bannable offense, is they are ok getting carried by others while putting no effort into their toon. It’s the lazy thing to do

If you think that lowly of Blizz, it is stunning you’d be on her posting bc you pay for their service. The answer to your frustration is to stick it to them. Hit them in the wallet.
This ban waves really feels like it targeted a lot the early Dks who hit 70 and went right into AV to farm s4 gear. the people who did not have a guild behind them backing them up to get carried through sunwell for gear. both my friend and I hit 70 on weds and went right into AVs we would rush to bunker 1 or bunker 2 of the alliance, sit in it till it capped then would run all way into alliance base and do same with those bunkers, we had very very low damage done, it was mostly killing the archer NPCs, and capturing the flags, we rode past most of the ally players and were just doing bunkers.

I leveled 61-70 in AV on my DK sitting in Vann’s room and death gripping hordies in, I didn’t receive a ban.

You do understand there is an entire expansion of progression you can play to get gear, other than AFKing in AVs
Edit: Using “AFKing” in AVs in the current context isn’t correct lol. I mean, sitting in AVs*
