I’m literally leveling my DK in AV.
I think that lowly of most companies, especially internet companies. I utilize their services because I get something out of them. You don’t buy meat from a market because you like the guy, he wants your money to buy other things and you want his meat. Sure, you may patron a store because you like the person, but if someone else has a far better product or one of a kind product you love, you’re going to go with that one.
Classic WoW is great. Blizzard? Not so much. I hate United yet still fly them when I need to.
I’m not befriending the people at Blizzard, I’m paying for a service. I don’t hate them either the the point I’d boycott, I simply think they’re an apathetic company with their own interests at stake.

AV games dont even last a full 10 min unless its a resource war. the first thing you can do is cap SF GY. by that time that caps its about less than min for TP and IBT . you start making your way down and drek could be killed by then.

if you are a dk on benediction and haven’t bought gold ( a lot of gold ) you aren’t getting gear in any raid. Even kara gdkps have 1kg minimum bids. Guilds aren’t able to log in effectively to raid anything.
I just don’t believe everyone banned literally gave WoW all of their attention minus the 1/2 moments that randomly happen you can’t avoid. Like running to the bathroom or picking up the phone

My account got hit, and I would love an explanation. I played over 70 AVs on a boosted paladin in the past few days. I got hit with the deserter buff twice, once I blame tacos and the other was a phone call. It should be easy to see that I had honorable kills in games, capped towers, earned achievements, even spoke in raid about timers and strategy. If having two random AFKs is enough for a 30 day ban, then I am quite shocked and frustrated.
The fact that this ban wave happened on a holiday weekend is a good sign to me that there was little to no human interaction/review in this ban wave, again quite frustrating. Finally, the fact that the average wait time is over 6 days is very poor, frustrating yet again.

Or, 12 of the 15 people run with the team who for some reason ignores GM the whole game, then there is a fearful dwarf paladin who constantly runs to the top of the hill to look down and check to see if he can get an easy cap on an empty flag, and when you’re standing there he realizes he doesn’t want to deal with a Shaman, so he turns and runs.
It doesn’t happen often, but games happen where you don’t do damage and your mere presence deters enemies from running in in the first place.

Most av games no one deters.
A player in one of the guilds I’m in got a ban for doing this exact thing, and I believe it was the “Dark Iron Tunnelers” that did it. He bragged about it in a trolling way and was doing it all pre-patch, then stopped logging on. I thought he did a server transfer but was in Discord raging that his appeal was DENIED for griefing other players. I don’t know what the duration is, but he’s not coping well with this ban. He created a new account, and that was banned within a day. Not sure if just Wrath Classic or his entire account, but I can confirm he was banned, appealed, and denied.
His justification was all the boostee’s and non-level capped players in AV. He also laughed about reporting people he didn’t think deserved to be in “his” BG as AFK. He got what he deserved.

I’m not someone who thinks boosted people shouldn’t be in BGs. I’m just saying that I’m sure a lot of people banned only did AV because it was easier to hide they weren’t playing
Yes it can happen, and you aren’t getting banned for it happening once or twice. When it becomes a pattern it’s because you are making it a pattern.
I just think 31 days is too harsh of a punishment, i would even settle for 21 days
