BG Ban wave. Blizzard needs to address this

This is simply too broad a brush. Ive played since vanilla launch, never been banned, suspended or silenced. Today I received a 30 day suspension . Waiting on WOTLK to come out and fighting the boredom I dropped the money for a boost, created a Holy Paladin and spent many hrs over the past few days playing AV. I played in good faith, as best I could with a new toon and BAD new gear. I followed the stand a defend until taken strat, moving once the objective had been completed or completely lost. Some situations of this meant no heals because there never was a challenge on the location. This is not an exploit, this is not a abuse, this is not nonparticipation. Blizzard did not get this right for me and many others.

Some, sure. Not all.

And users have corroborated as well. Let me guess, both parties are lying, right? That’s what you’re relying on, everyone in this situation is lying? Have you ever heard of occam’s razor?

No, my evidence involves data, proof, logic, and critical thinking as well. Is that lost on you?

And because the data, logic, critical thinking, and all evidence suggests it. That’s the part you have continually failed to grasp.

I wouldn’t consider what you’re doing right now to be poking holes in anything. It’s really just lack of reading comprehension on your part.

I trust Blizzard when the side of data, logic, critical thinking, and all evidence backs them up.

I will continue to call out fallacies as I see fit – which is very relevant here, considering your continuous strawmans regarding my positions. Again, you should probably do some reading, even rereadings, before interjecting in these conversations to rehash stuff that’s been covered thrice now.

It’s completely possible to get a 0-stat game. You go to TP, the guards are already dead. You stay and defend so no one takes it back. No one comes to back cap. Tower burns, you run towards the boss but before you get there game ends. 0 enemies encountered the entire game.

I’m not saying it’s right, but to say it “never” is wrong.

So it’s ok for them to be carried in AV but not WSG?

Blizzard also losing nothing from banning you for a month. If you already have a 6 month sub they don’t just add time to it.

How would you know that? I’ve had friends say they had them overturned. Why would that happen if they don’t review? In fact, our guild leader had one overturned, he made his second account alt leader after that to be safe.

They shouldn’t have to appeal. They shouldn’t be banned in the first place.

Yup. They have 100% ruined the whole WotLK experience for a lot of people. Many will miss the launch because they didn’t parse high enough in AV.

Should have pulled some rams up into the tower to get some extra damage in. Its the new meta so you don’t get banned. Simply doing the objective is now a bannable offense.

its a lot less chance of being carried in wsg.

You pay for a month. Get suspended. You come back in a month, and it’s paid for. You’re not paying for the 2 months you would have.

How would you know if they cheated or not?

This is not true. The sub expires the same exact time that it would if you were not suspended.

You find that out before you ban them. If this many people are getting banned falsely the criteria for a ban is too strict.

You seem to have a lot of experience with this.

All of you people do understand to get banned like this you would have A) need to be reported by enough people to get flagged B) be AFK when the GM investigated you

They did, they cheated, they’re banned.

With a straight face, do you honestly think a GM watched anyone? All these people who got hit with the wave, someone watched each one of them individually, long enough to say ok ban.

Buy 6 month sub.

Expire Jan 5th

Get suspended after you buy it for 30 days. Sub still expires Jan 5th, blizz loses no money.

Absolutely. It takes them all of 5 minutes and they get PAID to do it.
