I agree 100%. If people here hate BFA so much, they wouldn’t have voted and WoW wouldn’t have won. If anything, it shows how many people still have faith in teh game.

It’s a tally for positive votes.

We could have 2mil subs and 1mil people love it enough to vote for it but 1mil either don’t care or hate it.

This isn’t a wow lover vs wow hater voting contest.

There’s also no way to tell if people who play wow play other mmos so cant tell if they’d vote against wow just to spite them.

As long as wow has enough fans voting to beat out every other contender then they win. Doesn’t matter if 20million hate current wow.

I enjoy WoW. It is the only game on that list that I enjoy. And it won. But I did not vote. Many others did.

If WoW lost… The same people suggesting it is rigged right now would be gloating. As if their pet issue was the reason WoW did not win.

The Oscars aren’t given out based on ticket sales. There are many, many films that have done poorly in the box office but are masterpieces in their own right. The same can be applied to video games. Okami is critically acclaimed but sold poorly on the first release.
