BFA was better than Shadowlands

Shadowlands shipped with more world content than any previous expansion, though.

People really need to be specific about what they want.

hey can i interest you in this stuff called domination gear that has suspicious gear scheming including mostly passive effects as well as the same exact gear slots as azerite gear
i swear it’s a completely original idea and not based on a horrible idea that was generally disliked by people
–blizzard, prolly

Impossible. My wants and needs directly conflict with what players who want to raid log want and need.

Azerite gear was a great idea. They just implemented it poorly. Too many options and those options were not competitive enough to accomplish what they are trying to.

Well if you won’t even say what you want, I don’t know what to tell you.

Sounds like you just like to complain.

Eh
we’ll call it a draw for now.

Only thing I’d say BFA has over SL right now was BoD, reaping and more daily stuff.

I enjoyed Legion. It should have been the model for where modern WoW should have gone.

But instead of taking the lessons from Legion and expanding/ improving they just knee-jerk caved to players that complain. Players whose feedback is currently bringing us WoD 2.0.

Legion legendaries are the best example. There were lots of complaints. Instead of fixing the core issue and balanced them or restricted them to 1 output 1 utility, they just slapped them on a vendor and called it a day.

Still not saying what you want. Please be specific.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I enjoyed titanforging :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

That dopamine rush when you “suddenly” got a huge upgrade out of nowhere
 felt so good

most importantly, it felt rewarding

Titanforging was great for alts, too. Really sped up/accelerated the gearing process when you would get the occasional titanforge piece while just doing whatever on your alt(s).

Well, Titanforging’s problems (which were numerous) were laid out for years, and now it’s gone. If the game is unplayable for you without Titanforging, I’m sorry, but we’re just going to have to enjoy the game the way it was for the first 10 years without it.

Never said the game was “unplayable” without it

Just saying I enjoyed titanforging :slightly_smiling_face:

Honestly in some ways Shadowlands was a huge step backwards. They learned in Legion, people didn’t like not knowing what their emissary box was going to contain. So they fixed it, can’t remember if they did during Legion or did it for BfA. Shadowlands, we are back to not knowing what’s in the box.

During BfA they fixed the boxes to be based on your spec as well, Shadowlands, I have gotten more conduits for specs I don’t play and never intend to play than I have gotten for the spec I do play.

And if Shadowlands WQ are WQ 2.0, I would rather go back to WQ 1.0

Gold. It contains gold.

I mean the emissary boxes started showing what the reward was so you knew if it was worth it. I recall them showing if it was an armor cache, weapon cache, would just give gold, or give azerite. I also recall in Legion it was just a box and you didn’t know what you were going to get until you actually opened it. Why go back to it being wait until you open it.

Shadowlands callings have gold.

There’s no mystery, here.

You missed the point completely, why did they change it? People didn’t like a random box with random stuff, they changed it so you could decide if it was something you wanted to go for. Now in Shadowlands they went back to the randomness.

?

There’s nothing random. They have gold.

Is your complaint that the AMOUNT of gold is random?

Wow, you really aren’t getting it. The boxes use to be completely random in what you got. In BfA the boxes actually said what you would get out of it, if it said armor cache, you got armor, why did they go back to the old way of complete randomness of you might get something along with gold. Why are they not like the BfA caches with different ones, like Armor cache, Weapon cache, or Gold.

Because of the covenant gear. It makes world quest rewards obsolete.

If you think the covenant gear was a bad idea, I absolutely agree with you. But people said they didn’t like the RNG, so Blizzard added the sure thing, instead.

I’m really torn on covenant gear, in some ways I can understand the purpose it serves, but I would rather have had WQ gear fill those slots more, then I could try for better stats. They tried to satisfy too many classes and specs with the covenant sets. My demonology warlock here, I look at my covenant set and see the stats and just like wow, the secondaries are so bad for Demo.

Crit and Vers are the two lowest stats for Demo and I think I counted 3-5 pieces that have Crit/Vers so yeah crap, only thing they would have is the higher ilvl.

Sure, on a surface level but regardless of what zone you are in there are very few that actually feel different. Raise your rep rank? Doesn’t matter you still get to run a lap around the area or go kill 15 bad guys - nothing changes.

Imagine if we got just a little bit more depth or side stories doing dailies for the covenants we did not join. Something, we just got the bare minimum.

Give me something like the dragon raising/racing dailies or bonding with the Klaxxi before we murdered them. You actually were rewarded with a minor quest chain followed by different dailies.
