BFA tuning for level 70's farming old content?

trying way too hard.

Is this a person being serious or an improperly scripted bot?

What is not more serious than people cheating and getting achieves and rewards after the content is old? Blizz will be removing all old zones to prevent this soon. About time.

Blizzard does a very poor job at scaling and apparently when they changed levels it ruined a bunch of stuff. There are tons of enchants that ā€˜require level 32ā€™ or something weird but require the ilvl of the item to be like what drops/equippable for level 17 and under only. Itā€™s all over the place.

Last I heard we are going to have to wait yet another expansion if we want to solo stuff, because Blizzard decided to ignore their ā€˜two expansion ruleā€™ and are now saying ā€œWell your only 10 levels higher, not 11 so wait a few years more!ā€

In short itā€™s the same dragging out / slow pedal they did with Zandas and Kulā€™Tirans.

Go back to sleep HAL.

Thank you!

Keep dreaming lol. Post your proof they donā€™t want it/will be removing it. Itā€™s just being lazy. They could try and mess around and find out but pretty sure the numbers of people going back that are new or missed out are in the millions. No way their giving that sub money up. Like netflix passwords. Itā€™s going well in Canada. I ā€œwasā€ an 11 year subscriber.

I wouldnā€™t put it past Ion to try something like that to protect the ego of his precious little raiders. But honestly, that guy is a troll just certain other posters on the forums, best to ignore them.

Source? Oh, right. They never said this.

I agree with you OP but I would go even further.
It is absurd that stuff from 2 expansions ago is still unsolable just because of mechanics that require you to have multiple people in the group and lock you from soloing even though you have way more than the dps requirement for the fight.

A prime example of that is nā€™zoth.
The fight is pathetically easy, but the boss is scripted to immune itself at percentages to prevent onetapping.

It also prevents you from going downstairs two times, so it is made in a way which makes it unsolable.

I think itā€™s due to the fact that new players get thrown into BFA if they dont have a lvl 50. Whereas for people who have a lvl 50 can choose whether or not to do Chromie Time.

BFA does not benefit from legacy scaling.

Itā€™s dumb as a lot of people in the thread have noted and I donā€™t think itā€™s going to ever get the legacy scaling until itā€™s no longer the ā€œdefault campaignā€ for new players.

Yea. It hasnā€™t been Legacyā€™d due to Blizzard keeping the BFA story as ā€œcurrentā€ so itā€™ll be a while before we see a swap. The raids arent too bad with 2 or 3 people however.

Thereā€™s no legacy buff because those only happen after squishes, and the last one happened at the end of BFA, thus no legacy buff is needed, just need to outscale the content (a couple of bosses need their MC mechanics disabled though, no buff needed).

This is funny because BFA is actually older than Shadowlands and Shadowlands has scaling and is easy as hell to deal with. So an older expansion canā€™t be outscaled while the one after it can be.

Shadowlands does not have any hidden scaling buff in their instanced content. Their world content scales to 60, same with every other expansion.

This is not a new issue, Ion made the conscious decision to break the standard ā€œ2 expacs old = cheeseā€ which we have enjoyed for the last several expansions. I believe this was originally introduced in the WoD prepatch.

Various posts in this topic have all gone over it when it was realized during the prepatch. I tried again at 70 and itā€™s the same thingā€¦ they will not change it.

What I mean is that when I go into Shadowlands, world or instance, I am doing a lot more damage and just gliding through the mobs and bosses with no problems.

I go in to BFA and I am doing less damage than I am doing in Dragonflight to trash mobs. It is weird.

Iā€™d have to see hard numbers and data because from my personal testing, thereā€™s no difference. If anything, Iā€™m doing more damage in SL content due to the covenant bonuses and BFA content due to being a higher level than it, causing me to crit more and hit harder.

I wish they could just undo the whole scaling and level squish it has been nothing but problems and frustrations and a small price like not being able to level in any zone is a price i would gladly pay to have it undone
