I have not played Retail in years and even I agree. The fact that they gave a major lore figure like N’zoth a 3rd rate end is not right.

All of the Old Gods have been that way in fact with N’zoth getting the largest screen time.

They should redo it honestly. But I think they’ve just given up on BfA. All the secrets and loose ends I thought was gonna lead up to some big finale. I mean, they kept saying things like just wait and really building up anticipation. And we got a lord of the rings rip off 10 second clip. /slow clap

The Wrathion dragon scene was pretty cool, though.

Meh, the lore and story in this game is great when it’s good. For the most part this isn’t really a story heavy MMO like FFXIV for example. We are fed bits and pieces of the story and tossed a cinematic at times.

The only thing that matters to most people are their ilevel, IO scores, and other junk that compares them to others. So when I see N’zoth taken out like that I almost don’t care. Where was the build up to how much of a threat he was? Perhaps I was too bored to care about it honestly. We already knew we were getting an afterlife expansion anyway so of course he’s going to get wiped out somehow.

I’d have to argue he’s a pretty big lore figure. N’zoth is the reason Deathwing went insane and he got a whole expansion. The Old Gods themselves were the reason Sargeras went off the deep end and started the Burning Legion. They were always a threat no one payed much mind to, but were behind so much of the problems faced in the lore.

He said it wasn’t “ripped off” from LOTR, it was “inspired by”. Then he tried to pretend like C’Thun’s eye in AQ40 was on par with the eye of Sauron. The guy must have an elastic spine by this point. I’ve never seen someone bend over backwards to kiss anyones butt.

We killed N’zoth, but our work to isn’t done, just kinda fades out and continues onwards to the next thing.

It depends upon when shadowlands beta arrives. If it is March or sooner that is normal. But a beta starting after March…not good.

Sounds similar to when they announced Diablo Immortal and it got so many dislikes on the first day that the YT re-uploaded it constantly.
Also, reminder that Shadowlands is being primarily designed and made by the A team (Wrath, MoP, Legion) and shouldn’t be put down because the B team is bad.
