I'm frustrated with the game at every expansion and major patch and usually have a few days where I wonder if the game is worth the time, money or effort.
However I find most of my enjoyment in the game not from the game itself but the communities and regular groups I take part in.
That's a lot of stuff to be disappointed about.
I guess cheap entertainment is cheap fora reason :)

Great post man, I agree with most of it.
Much respect and I hope you don't unsub! Hopefully they fix some things before then...
It kinda frustrates me that blizzard used to hold up ED as a poster child. We got a call out which was awesome. Then they have proceeded to dismantle what made us great and ignore our pleas. Bleh...

Blizzard should just remove the RP designation and make you truly happy.
The thing I think that speaks to this expansion's design philosophy was Ion and co's response to people saying Warrior tanking sucks.
It was basically, "oh yeah warrior rotation kinda sucks, but don't worry we'll nerf Brewmasters and Blood DKs"
Some real galaxy brain stuff there guys.

OP you listed a lot of the reasons that I am unhappy with the game also.
1. GCD Changes
2. Class design (loss of artifacts created a gaping hole in our kits)
3. RNG / No pvp vendors
4. Content that isn't fun (feels like a chore). They force you to do "un-fun" content to unlock something integral such as flying. I think they are doing this to say "See! people are doing this content! It's such a success!!!"
5. Azerite neck is a pile of crap, azerite talents do not feel fun/interesting.

Again, Blizz design philosophy
Blizz: "We got rid of talent trees because they didn't give very meaningful choices, no one likes getting like 1% to hit or crit or whatever"
Also Blizz: "Okay here's this awesome new armor system where you grind quests to level your necklace so you can choose between 3 different passive benefits you won't notice"

10/16/2018 11:14 AMPosted by DubknightThanks man, the game will be a lesser version without players like ya.
Thanks for the kind words. And I don't want or plan to quit any time soon. But this just hurts and we're not even past the first raid tier....

On top of this, it was said that it would be easier to balance these talents instead.....as I sit here with many useless talents that haven't even been glanced at by Blizz.

I don't intend on quitting but BFA is really pushing me right now. I remember in the Q&A that Ion said that we might see if realms could truly stand on their own again. Would love to see this for ED.
If it makes you want to unsub, then unsub. You'll feel much better by playing other things. It's what I did.
It sends them the clearest message you possibly can give them, as all others have been falling on deaf ears clearly.

Logged on today to get my pvp/m10 cache
The belt I got was 10ilvls lower then my RNG warforged belt I got week one of the expansion.
The pants I got were the -exact- same pants I got last week, except lower ilvl this time.
I'm having so much fun.

10/14/2018 05:09 PMPosted by AmineI am part of the playerbase though and I don't have a problem with most things you are QQ'ing about.
I like personal loot and agree with the removal of master loot.
There is a reason why mythic plus which is spammable doesn't drop azerite gear.
I like island expeditions - for such short of content you really need a slash and burn approach.
People claimed they wanted to 'earn' things in this game - the neck does that.
Most people aren't against personal loot in fact i think its fine to have it required for pugs but if you are doing something as a guild you should have the option to use masterloot that all people want really

I know it is. What stops me from doing this is my guild. I'm a GM that has run this guild since the end of Cata. I don't our hard work to go to waste. Nor do I want to keep giving money to a faulty product.
I'm willing to wait and see what happens but if everything continues to get ignore, I'll just open up communications in guild on swapping to another game. Because right now WoW ain't cutting it.

Brilliant post OP. It was easy to read, well thought out and you brought up some very valid points.
I also enjoyed the explanation about not wanting people to netdeck talents when some of the new talents are clearly better so you still netdeck your talents outside of like 1-2 tiers (or even more depending on class) that are effectively useless.10/16/2018 01:58 PMPosted by Jalen

Also hey again, Azerite. I enjoy getting items that are like 15-20 ilvl higher and having them be downgrades because many of the traits are just outright bad.
I pretty much agree with everything you have said. However, we have been through this before time and time again with feedback being ignored, promises being broken and focusing on keeping us playing for longer rather than enjoying the game.
At this point, I just don't see any point in going through this again of asking Blizz to listen to their fanbase. The only way to talk as a customer now is with your wallet. They already have you subed, qnd so long as you are subbed that's ok by their standards.
