BfA Legacy Raids overtuned?

What are you complaining for? The gold gains are worth the increase. I’m getting 4K in vendor stuff from legion raids lol

legion has like a 10x dmg boost so it’s not an issue at all

btw if any one has a mage you should dust it off for farming bfa raids i’m getting 600k ignite ticks and it makes them so much easier

I feel like they should do away with the damage boost. That makes some of the achievements almost impossible to do and it’s just not needed.

I think at 80 the BFA raids will be trivial. Shadowlands SHOULD be and I hope they make adjustments.

Virtually everyone soloing these legacy raids are in it for the xmog (and maybe a bit of gold). The thing about damage boosts is, if you want to lower your damage for some cheevo you can just start taking off your clothes, otherwise the boost is helpful to speed the farming process.

Yeah but the damage boost isn’t even needed. BFA raids don’t have it and I melt those things.

If you look at health in older content and how much damage we do at 70 it would still go by quick but there’s a lot of stuff that even with clothes and weapons off it still dies in one hit.

I don’t think a boss taking 3 hits do die is going to take up too much of their time. You’re basically one step away from saying if you walk into an instance you should just be awarded all your transmogs. The boost was added to fix an issue with stat squishing. That’s not a problem anymore. At least give us the option to turn it off

I like the boost - the faster I can run through the raid the better. I’m not running these raids every week for the challenge, I do it for the xmog.

And not everyone “melts” BfA bosses. Last week yes, this week? Each boss takes a couple minutes to whittle down now. I think Queen Azshara had something like 31 million health as of yesterday.

Another day searching for an official answer on this…

Oh rubbish. You have no power here! Begone before someone drops a house on you too!

I ran them all yesterday. I have very random OS gear and have no clue how to play WW at all. I face rolled every boss without issue. All damage was either absorbed or dodged.

thats a crap thing though. old raids shouldnt be tuned for higher levels. it should be a joke now and even easier at 80. i get they need to waste our time so there metrics looks better but theres no reason for anything old to be tuned to max level

Better to complain first then receive an answer.

That is why the squeaky wheel is the one that receives the grease!

if you guys think thats bad.
well it just checked and double checked…and the outdoor mobs OUTSIDE OF RAIDS ARE BUFFED AS WELL. i.e. the murlocs in zandalar had 16kish hp PRIOR TO THE PREPATCH.
they now have WAIT FOR IT.
54.8k hp each.
the nagas 21-26k hp.
now they rock 56-61k hp.
the elites there had 161k hp.
now they have 464k hp. at lvl 70.
the quest mini bosses 90-120k hp…now they rock 220-260k hp.

also look at that damage. this is me going afk for about 90s. got me down to about 571k hp. yeah its not 571k there its not the screenshoot from the very end.

heres one from shadowlands.
this only occurs in revendreth or any area in shadowlands that has lvl 60 mobs.

It’s probably a bug, just like all the other times they’ve accidentally screwed up scaling for older content. You’d think they’d pay a bit more attention by now.

is it a bug or something they slipped in in the hopes it would get ignored and when they get called out just call it a bug

i suspect its intentional. gotta force people to upgrade to tww somehow.

It’s at least 80% intentional, there may be some issues around the margins. Prepatch adjusts scaling “as if” the upcoming release is live, meaning scaling is tuned around the max level of 80. This means for the weeks between prepatch and live, max level 70s suddenly get less powerful. If you don’t buy the latest expansion , you stay less effective, and in fact will get pretty much pushed out of Shadowlands/BFA raids. (those now expect lvl 80/lvl 80 gear).

This started with the release of WOD, and is likely linked to the decision to roll the “current but soon to not be” expansion into the base game. I’m guessing that tweaks the scaling when the “new one” gets deployed but nit technically live (pre patch).

It happens pretty much every expansion and sometimes multiple times per expansion. They just break all sorts of things whenever they so much as look at scaling.

And I keep seeing people say the pre-patch is meant to make us weaker since the game is now balanced for level 80, and that’s just hilariously wrong. Older content doesn’t need to be rebalanced for a new level cap. That’s just paranoid rambling from people who want there to be a reason instead of it just being a mistake.
