I agree with this post. If previous expansions are going to be made irrelevent, everything in them should just be made to be soloable by default.
Tried that not too long ago. My rogue at level just needed 2 pieces off of bosses in Heroic Antorus (early ones too, not like I was asking for Aggramar or anything) to complete his transmog so I asked my guild to come help me run through it. No one responded.
Not everyone has cooperative guilds sadly.

iirc that one was the 2nd boss in Kings Rest. A dungeon that rewards a mount on mythic.
Yes and no. While Legacy loot mode is active for BFA instances, the damage bonus is not.
Yeh and BFA content is not yet classified as legacy content, therefore it stays how it is considering itâs also the expansion new new players go through to level up. They also only just nerfed some Legion stuff to make them possible to be done solo, give it about 2 years and we will see BFA changed the same.
I will point out to folks that Blizzard HAS made changes to BFA dungeons to make them more solo friendly already. Specifically they changed the Kingâs Rest encounter where you fight Mchimba the Embalmer so that he no longer casts Entomb if youâre fighting him alone.
So pointing out that other dungeons currently have mechanics that stop them from being soloable is something we all should be doing so Blizzard can change things the same way they changed them in Kingâs Rest.
Additionally 9.1.5 saw us able to queue for Island Expeditions solo, so Blizzard clearly doesnât mind altering BFA content to make it more solo friendly, at least for things other than raids.

Thatâs cool and all. They just have to do more.
Since the beginning of this game, it has been super common to go back and solo dungeons one has out-leveled to get specific itemsâespecially mounts and trinkets.
When transmog was introduced, this became even more of a pastime for a HUGE portion of the player base.
So the answer to the rather smug question is: since day one.
Actually, they didnât say, âno,â at all. They have stated very clearly that legacy content for soloing is a thing and they were going to fix the BfA content to make sure it was included with this patch.
SoâŚOMG, do you need a coffee or something?

Yep, which is why folks who are playing WoW right now need to jump into the support menu, to the section where you can submit suggestions and suggest that Blizzard change the other dungeons to make them solo friendly as well.
It keep people around longer.
I will lapse most likely in dec. If tbcc thrills someâŚmaybe a token to try for that be to max level. some nights there I like it. come to undercity for some businessâŚhook up with people needing a final dps slotâŚdungeon time. Nights like these get interesting.
legion farming would have kept me around. I ahve done wrath loops for a while. its not content to say 6 more months. or 12âŚ
9.2.5 (or .3) in theory will ahve even casual gear stomp here. thenâŚI shall return from a lapse.
as I have all classes except mage in the char collection legion is weeks to months of new mog goodness. WrathâŚI am hitting 1 item wall after so many loops. raid x, y and z has only 1 item for me. and its rng has me go you know whatâŚkeep it lol
Not only that, what if you canât find someone when you want to do it?
Story of my life when it comes to MMOs, lol. Itâs a problem Iâve had for decades since EverQuest. I just canât seem to surround myself with the kind of people that will look out for one another.
I gave up accepting a different expansion, because it always turned out to be BfA dungeons I didnât want to do. I also found that when I declined, my dungeon popped soon, almost as if they were short of tanks in BfA dungeons and trying to sucker me into Shrine of Storms or something.
Seen that too in a prior leveling. of late its been nice. I was dreading death by freehold. 5 players, no interruptsâŚfun times.
this new poor char experiment I am doing though (new realmâŚshe wants 1k gold she makes it as I canât mail her MG/WRA money)âŚlove her levelling. mostly legacy dungeons. 1 bfaâŚfun times.
Now I am firmly in the chromie to 60 movement. 10 dungeons so far, not 1 repeat. Nice as hell.
50 to 60 I know what comes. Necrotic and only necrotic till 54/55. then only plague fall to 56/57.
then is 1 in 3 chance of NW, PLague or TS. oh the variety.
Now my leveling char I had to google what expac the dungeon was. Never seen them. even as a mog hunter.
Would be nice if blizzard fixed this to farm transmog sets! Please blizzard think of the solo players. Also legacy loot not working when grouping is annoying can you fix that too? Would make the BFA raids worth running with friends.
They can continue onward by boosting the rep (the tokens as well) for BFA, theyâre terrible at the moment.
This thread has me wondering if the encounters in bfa dungeons are harder after level squish than when we we at 120. I soloed both Waycrest and Shrine as guardian near the end of bfa.

They are harder now by a large margin
I soloâd all that with BM Hunter before the recent update, not sure if this update makes it harder or something. Not trying to brag just saying technically it can be solo played.
The witches I just killed so fast I donât even remember them mind controlling. Whatever they did it wasnât much the more frustrating thing was finding my way around that dungeon. Very annoying dungeon to travel if you donât know your way around. Probably wasted an hour in there because of that.
I donât remember what Atal Dazar is tbh. You did say itâs soloable though so
The Shrine of Storms was straight up pain. I tried following a few different guides but I couldnât get it to work and took me a while to get through. If I remember correctly thereâs a brief moment you can jump in the water and get the initial pass without dying. I tried a bunch of things it mightâve been mainly luck but I eventually made it out with barely any health.
All that being said, the whole questlines to get Allied races thing I find pointless. I donât think I ever felt ârewardedâ by doing them more than I would just being able to play them. My worst was Nightborne because I got it in my head it was going to be my new character a while ago when I came back to the game after a long unsub period and I spent so much time building my rep with them it felt endless and then I did it all and never played Nightborne. One of the biggest waste of time ever.
EDIT: Just for clarity, the KulâTiran solo was maybe a month before recent update. Think my item level at the time was around 195 at best but could be wrong on that. Mightâve been closer to 200.
You can skip stormsong by resetting him and running past after he despawns

Unless 9.1.5 ghost changed itâŚbfa was scaling to 60.
You could take a 200 60 back there in 9.0 to rep farm and go these actually got harder than in BFA.
Rares/elitesâŚwonât kill you easy. but you ainât killing them easy either.
I donât know. Iâm not sure theyâre harder now for the same character, same level of difficulty, same gear. There are just so many variables with the characters and the scaling that we donât have data for.
They can tune content so characters at that end level will find it too hard, while higher level characters will not notice. They also could make it harder for level 60âs while unchanged to level 50âs. I soloed Rezan a few times early in Shadowlands and he didnât feel any different from doing it late in BfA. The same character queued for a normal at one point and smashed stuff (ilvl 116).
