This is correct, the patch, and anything after (Season 3) that the belt is meant to be a part of is broken for my entire account now, not just my main.

No, this is clearly a quest flow bug on the developersâ side. Itâs basic quest design to anticipate tasks done out of order, and QA should have caught this if design didnt.

alts can get the belt alts quest is just 4 towers and completing the delve and then they get the belt, alts dont have to loot anythingâŠ
Unless your referring to people who maxed tree without quest first

This is incorrect in the context of the discussion, which is about having finished the console first.
If you finish the console first before picking up the quest you cannot get the belt ACCOUNT WIDE

After getting their first belt, a friend did the final quest with an alt (a warrior), only to find out they couldnât complete the quest due to them presumably messing with the console first. They also werenât able to get shards on said alt. They ran another couple of alts through tier 3 delves to get their belts and had no issues.

This whole topic reminds me of that one druid who got screwed out of getting his Legion artifact on Legion launch because he was hated with Cenarion Circle for⊠Some reason. So he couldnât interact with the NPCs in the quest chain leading to the artifact.
didnt it turn out he was WAR with them some how trying to remember what happen but think it was he was at war or something when he wasnt suppose to be able to be or something, i rememebr reading someone had issues with that but didnt know it was a druid
Yea, it was either the rep level or he had them set to âAt Warâ before Blizzard removed that option.
But yea, similar in that itâs a gamebreaking issue because the player did something thatâs not ânormalâ for the majority of the playerbase.

Obviously not, if you had read the OP he had said:
Op had looked for the quest, couldnât find it and figured to just try to enter the overcharged delve to obtain the quest.
Since the quest hadnât been given at this point, OP decided to just farm the mount.
Not sure why you are trying to question the validity of OPâs actions when all they want is to be able to collect shards after finishing the console.
OP discovered a problem and came to the forums to notify blizzard of the issue - seems like a logical course of action to me.

It was a normal quest, but even so, it wasnât a requirement to activate the console, which it should be, or even one of those auto-pickup quests when you login.

Yeah if my alts are auto-given the puzzling cartel chip quest when zoning into a mythic plus or raid, then the belt quest should be auto given when you enter an overcharged delve.

Dagran, in the same area where you find Brann and the delve quests in dornagol.
It is just a normal question mark, it is not highlighted in anyway, so gotta look carefully for it.
Stupid question â Who gives the quest?
I did some quest thing last night in regards to red dawn or something but I was given a quest for a console in a delve and did 3 last night - two overcharged or whatever and 1 just regular 11 for crests.
I have not turned in any shards for the console but is there another quest I need for the belt?
