The quest was not a requirement to enter overcharged delves, use the Titan console, or redeem shards. I completed the console and got all the powers before discovering the quest.
Titan disc shards no longer drop after completing the console, so it is impossible to complete the quest which requires you to collect 50 shards. This means I cannot collect the belt. This breaks the entire patch and potentially the upcoming season 3 without getting the belt.
You need to fix it so that shards drop until the quest AND the console is completed, otherwise it breaks a whole lot of things with the patch.
good to know, glad i did belt first then farmed to full the tree didnt take to to long im sure a nerf will come and drop rate will change and or not be able to farm lvl 1s tofill the tree seeing both lvl 1 and 11s drop the same amount
actually now that you say that i think you HAVE to do that quest first to get the belt, UNLESSS they mean after doing the quest farming the stuff without turning quest in to get the belt
also once you feel tree you no longer get the items thank god
I logged in, went to an overcharged delve, and started collecting shards. There was no quest to unlock the console, or anything else. I farmed to get the mount, went to Dornogal to see what else there was to do. You can grab the starting quest to unlock the belt, which sends you to an overcharged delve and collect shards, however shards don’t drop after you complete the console, making the quest un-completeable and impossible to get the belt. It’s pretty straightforward if you read my post.
idk iv never done logged in on patch day and went right to a delve i went right to the zone to get the new quests complete before everyone else is doing them and killing stuff and near impossible. guess your toon you did that on wont get belt but at least your alts will
The whole patch is mostly about the belt, and carrying that power forward to Season 3, just like the the ring before this, and the anulet before that. It breaks the character until it’s addressed. So
“Way to login and play the game idiot!”
Isn’t really adding to the conversation, nor is “use an alt or make a new main and don’t be an dummy” constructive either. Although that’s not a direct quote it’s seems that is what you mean the statement to be.
I’m trying to bring the issue both to the attention of Blizzard to get it fixed, as well as to warn others to a bug in which to avoid the until it’s fixed.
You have to go physically find Dagran in the Delve hut and pick up the quest, the quest isn’t smashed into your face via the UI or given a distinction like every other single important content patch quest in the past, ever, but yeah, we’ll just let that slide and ignore that.
i mean i farmed 1700 shards ran Skitter over and over and over again you get about 80 to 90 per a run if you kill and loot everything and the items aswell.
You can run Tier 1 delves and get the same amount of shards. I ran a tier 8 first, got about 86 shards, then a Tier 2 to see the difference. It was the same, so I ran through tier 1 delves until I was done. It took less than 2 hours
The game is a buggy mess. Anyone could be right or wrong or be experiencing anything, who are we to say. We’re the ones testing the game anyway lmao.
Yeah, the issue is that they stop shards from dropping on completion of the console, and not the quest, Or don’t make the quest a requirement to access the console. It’s a major oversight either way. They need to make the quest a requirement, and then change the shard behavior to continue to drop until the quest is also completed, and not just the console being completed
If you have an alt, complete the belt quest on them then go back to your main. You should be able to get the last intro quest (which is just to kill 4 pylons and complete the OC delve) to actually obtain the belt.
