Titan Disc-count quest BROKEN

The quest was not a requirement to enter overcharged delves, use the Titan console, or redeem shards. I completed the console and got all the powers before discovering the quest.

Titan disc shards no longer drop after completing the console, so it is impossible to complete the quest which requires you to collect 50 shards. This means I cannot collect the belt. This breaks the entire patch and potentially the upcoming season 3 without getting the belt.

You need to fix it so that shards drop until the quest AND the console is completed, otherwise it breaks a whole lot of things with the patch.

I can confirm that this also breaks alts

I abandoned the quest on an alt, picked it back up, and it says I have completed the requirements, but won’t let me click continue to turn it in since the shards aren’t iny inventory.

UPDATE:
This continues to be broken for my whole account. Customer service continually closes tickets saying try have no communication with developers, and they can take no action, nor can they bring this to developers.

I’m likely the only person in this situation, and have not gotten any development attention to either of my threads on the issue. There is no possibility of remediation on my own, and cannot participate in the patch content without developer intervention.

Just roll back my account to before the patch and allow me to complete the content again in the correct order allowing me to fix the issue created by the quest not being enabled in the console when the patch went live, this creating this issue in the first place.

UPDATE2: After weeks of dealing with “customer service” just closing the tickets, and telling me they have no lines of communication with the developers, and updating this ticket each week, they have turned back on the ability to again get shards to drop, and complete the quest chain.

they must have changed it since the ptr. On there, i couldnt see/loot shards at all until i had the quest to start collecting them. Thats horrible :frowning:

Yeah, and I keep getting the blow off from proper channels. I can’t complete it on my account at all, so I can’t get the belt on any alt.

Was googling around to figure this out, came across this post. Not sure why, but when I clicked the titan panel thing and clicked the “combine 100 shards” dialogue option, even though I had zero shards and it threw a little error, I started collecting shards as normal. I’d try clicking the panel and using the 100 shards dialogue option again, then try to collect. They’re not too bad of a drop rate, so you should know after killing one of the titan mobs whether it is fixed or not.

Thought I’d share my fix, just in case it helps anyone!

Yea - so I ran my first undercharged delve on my priest with my bf last night, unlocked my first upgrade, unlocked the belt quest to destroy 4 pylons, etc.

Went into my second overcharged delve on my druid with my BF tonight, he was getting titan shards from everything and I got zero. Still got credit for the pylon quest, but no titan shards. I googled it, found this thread, and tried a relog - which seemed to fix the issue, but by that time we were basically finished the delve and I got SIX shards compared to the 55+ he got. Wish I had known I had to re-log sooner, missed out on the entire run’s worth of titan shards. Obnoxious.

My issue is that I collected all the shards and unlocked all the powers first. When I logged in, right when the patch was live, the console didn’t present any quest, just allowed me to cash in shards for powers. I was just interested in grinding out the mount, so I spent an hour and a half to get the mount.

After I went looking for other things to do, found the belt quest in Dornogal, but it can’t be completed, because once you get all the powers, shards no longer drop, because they shouldn’t be needed, however in the design PTR they made you pickup the quest to unlock the console. That didn’t go live, so I am stuck not being able to get 50 more shards to complete the quest also.

They hotfixed the console to give the quest later, but now my whole account is in limbo, because the quest is account wide along with the console.
