BETA With Subscription!

A. Well, they mostly are scummy behavior.

B. Just because all the AAA companies are actively trying to screw over their fanbases, doesn’t make it an acceptable thing for them or Blizzard to do.

It was a vanilla thing, don’t worry about it. We have way better options now.

um no?

Yah , I dunno, thought people liked the latest and greatest stuff like that, but if it works still, why not :O)

Yeah, but Blizzard still communicates better, listens to their players, and actively trying to fix mistakes and unenjoyable content. Activision is cramming overpriced skins and pay to win microtransactions into all their non-blizzard games.

And before you point out the “Blizzard Shop” how many mount, pet, and transmog options do you get in game?

Blizzard has done a great job keeping the worst money making mechanics out of their games, and in WoW’s case, what little does come outside of the retail purchase is truly cosmetic, and subjectively not better then all the other in-game options.

So yeah, Blizzard doing it better than the other developers, by not actually screwing the fan base over, is a good thing.

Yes it does, if they let the non-subs in, they will be flooded with NOCHANGES NOSHARDING etc etc. reports instead of feedback on actual gameplay.

I activated 2 weeks or so ago specifically because I had a feeling i would need an active subscription in order to get invited to be a beta tester. I started out as very upset with the sharding stance, but because i was allowed to post and try and argue my opinion i was able to eventually see that initial sharding in lowbie zones would be helpful and I reasoned that they will get rid of them as soon as the initial rush is gone. That being said i dont think it causes any issues for people to question Blizzard’s directions with those types of elements when it is a topic that needs to be discussed to learn about it and how it can help. No one should be denied access just because they have a different opinion IMO.

Vanilla WoW Beta Tester

someone reported it, w/e.

Nah, I will freely admit that there are quite a few worthwhile posters who quit Retail before now. Additionally it was pointed out to me that many L10s are European subbed players, who can’t sub to America.

They are not my target audience.

I tried that in a thread on toxicity and was loudly rebuffed

It does a lot for my trust of Blizzard, which was almost non-existant before classic, that they have the skin to allow anyone to post on classic. Thinking that everyone who isn’t subbed is toxic is very naive.

You know Congress is looking at banning that “industry standard” of lootboxes and such right?

Yeah, if you want to say something logical but unpopular, you really have to start your own thread.

Also, sarcasm is too highbrow for the forum.
