Why make Beta easier than Alpha. You can’t be this dumb…
Because Alpha was pretty boring.
So the solution is to make it easier??? Sounds more boring…
I mean the content was supposed to be RDF with only the same heroic difficulty. It wasn’t made to be hard from the start. You’d have to rework all dungeons to make them decently hard as the mechanics are pretty baseline. At least there’s some more fun interactions coming from beta.
You dont need to rework it to add another mechanic. + and then ++. To make beta mechanic cancel the alpha mechanic is pretty pathetic. It would of been easier and better in every way to just add the second mechanic.
A group of fresh 80s can clear beta but not alpha. That’s terrible decision making…
I wonder how bad the difference is, but anyway if beta is easier for less geared people then that’s better for them anyway so I don’t see the problem.
The problem is beta should be harder not easier. Beta drops better loot than alpha. Simple progression rules. Completely terrible.
Simple progression rules were thrown out of the window when they added raid loot to dungeons.
And even though its easier, people still want to skip as many bosses as possible and ask for 5k gs. Make it any more difficult and the only people running the dungeons will people that disenchant every item.
Old progress stepping down is fine. Nothing wrong with allowing catch up. But not backwords. Its like putting icc gear into toc and then having toc drop in icc. Beta should be harder not easier since it has the better loot.
Well in this case it’s old gear anyway and I’m totally fine with making it so everyone wants to do the same dungeon difficulty. That’s how originally normal heroic were, everyone did them for the daily so there was always a decent amount of people that would do them. If they would keep splitting up people there would just be less and less people in each of them difficulties.
Old gear dropping is fine. You just don’t put better gear in the easier progression. What ilvl drops doesn’t matter as long as its linear. If alpha was no longer available the beta difficultly is fine. But to have the ++ be easier than + and have the ++ drop the better loot is completely moronic.
But they already did this by putting raid gear in dungeons. That’s my point.

You’re not making your point. Dropping the loot down a step is fine if it continues to be linear. Current progression matches ilvl drops.
The only thing that’s not currently linear is beta having better loot when its easier than alpha.
Because you don’t want to acknowledge that the normal order if you wanted a linear progression was to do raids into raids? They made it so you can skip raids, and now if you’re telling the truth you can skip alpha dungeons. Not the worse. Does it mean that alpha maybe should get removed if it’s not worth? probably. But my guess is some people still try to do it as it’s not true for all dungeons. Like I said I wonder how groups face each them as personally having terrible dps for beta is still quite painful depending of dungeons. Maybe good players can do better in beta than alpha as they can take advantages of the mechanics better. But for the average player? I have doubt.

Or! Beta, here’s another mechanic to add to the alpha mechanic!! 1000 times better.
Dumbing down the game thinking it will appeal to the masses is how they lost their peak 12mil subs and how they’ll kill classic.
If you thought alpha dungeons were hard to begin with that would be a problem yes.

It only makes sense beta dungeons are easier. They are beta. I’m just worried for protocol Sigma.
