You could be waiting up to 2-3 hours before it shows in the launcher. It took me 2.5 hours from email to showing in launcher.

lol I got an email telling me I was invited and how to install but nothing on bnet XD cant participate anyway so doesnt affect me but still oof

Hey all,

I know that a number of you recently received an invite to participate in tomorrow’s Stress Test for Classic Beta and you currently do not see an option in the Battle.net Desktop App.

I’m not certain if flagging for the Stress test is just a little behind, something went wrong or the email was sent in error. I’ve forwarded the information from this and several other similar threads to have it looked into.

We likely won’t receive word back this evening but as soon as we have an update we’ll be sure to post here.

I know many of you were excited to be able to help us Stress test Classic. Hang in there and thank you for your patience.

I’m going to try and consolidate some of the main threads in the CS forum into this one.

Unfortunately that only takes you to blizzard download games and classic isnt there either

For those that have no idea like me where to look:

  1. Open Battle .net Launcher
  2. Select World of Warcraft
  3. Look right above the install/play button.
  4. Click on the drop down menu
  5. Select the option that says “Beta & Stress Test: WoW Classic”
  6. Install
  7. Stare at computer screen for over 12 hours counting down the seconds until the servers come online.

you got invited to a limited stress test lmfao. max level 5 and only for a small amount of time. then you will be kicked off and not allowed back on. the main closed beta servers will open again and everyone invited will go back to playing unlimited beta.

from how it was explained, yes. but i just wanted to clear up a misunderstanding. if you got invited to the stress test, you wont be playing past level 5 or past 24 hours.

Not limitless. It only lasts two hours. You know that, right?

which is enough time for me to download it, make a character, log in and then :open_mouth: stand there doing nothing when the servers go down. wooo :unamused:

Looks like I got mine, not sure whether or not its just the Stress test or the full version since been awhile since I restarted my client

Edit: Ya its just the stress test, kinda sad limited to level 5 I feel like they could get more people to stress test longer if people had more incentive to play bit more then an hour or less worth of content. Yes can make Alts and try to do stuff but I didn’t think Layering was effected by region so I don’t get the level limit over the lv 30 original limit

if it has -Stress Test- in the name at all, then its the stress test and not beta. the real beta says -Classic PTR- in its name or something like that.

No don’t worry, that isn’t true. I have 8 licences, the regular ptr AND the stress test in my launcher. I didn’t get an email, it just appeared about an hour after people started reporting they were in.

Can people stop saying it lasts 2 hours and read, jeeze. It lasts until 6pm PDT on Thursday.

or you can try reading. the stress test is for 2 hours. the server remains up until thursday. the first 2 hours is when they expect a massive influx of players logging in. which is kinda the point.

Yes but people are acting as if it’s a 2 hour log in time. Which is obviously what I was referencing. “why log in it’s only two hours long!!!1!!”. People just need to have fun with it and be happy they get a taste of the game they very obviously want to play like many others who don’t have the chance.

Good Morning all, I received an email as well this morning with an invite for the first stress test that is stated to open at 4pm PDT Wednesday May 22 until 6pmPDT. I was able to go in on the desktop on my mac and download it but the screen that came up was like a brand new start with no account name. There is a button to create an account so my question is, do i need to create an account for this "stress test or do i put in the same information of my current WoW account?

that doesnt sound right. i wouldnt log into anything that doesnt spawn directly from official battlenet launcher
